5 FISCHER Mess- und Regeltechnik GmbH First steps 1 1 First steps 1.1 Introducti This Manual explains how you can cfigure 'intouch' units of the FISCHER in touch product family easily your PC using the service software. The following devices are supported: EA 15 Measured value display EA16 Compent for installati of the panel The software can be installed every cvential PC. The system requirements are stated in the following secti. The 'FISCHER in touch ' units can be cnected directly to the PC via the USB interface. Cfigurati of units permanently installed in e.g. a system can be saved in a file and the dat ais then transferred with a USB stick. 1.2 System Requirements The following requirements are necessary to install the service software 'in- Touch' a PC: Supported operating systems: Windows bit/64-bit Windows bit/64-bit Windows 8 32-bit/64-bit Windows 7 32-bit/64-bit Windows Server 2012 R2 Windows server 2012 Windows Server bit/64-bit Windows Server 2008 R2 Run-time envirment: Microsoft.NET Framework from versi Screen resoluti: 1.3 Installati 1440 x 900 and larger Proceed as follows to install the program: Initial installati 1. Open the installati program 'intouch_setup.exe' 2. Agree to the cditis of the licence and then install the software 3. After installati, close the installati dialogue The USB driver is automatically installed under Windows 10. The USB driver must be installed separately under Windows 7 and 8x. To do this, follow the installati dialogue after intouch has been installed. Software update The program searches for an update every time it is started. A prerequisite for this is a cnecti to the Internet. If an update is found, a message will appear the screen. The update can be started or rejected here. HB_EN_inTouch 5 / 24

Also. the unit must be cnected to a power supply (e.g. mains adapter, lab power unit etc.) The pin assignment of the M12 plug is stated in the operating instructi of the respective unit. The following ly describes the intouch service software. For a descripti of the parameters and their functis, please see the user manual of the unit you are cfiguring. 2.2 Starting the software A link is created your desktop when the software is installed. The program is started with a double-click. First, the start screen opens which ctains informati about the program versi and the supported units. This screen can be called up again with the 'Info about...' butt in the SYSTEM menu. In this work mode, units of the product family 'FISCHER intouch ' can be cfigured. Other work modes are not implemented. As so as a parameter set has been imported, the EXPORT and RESCAN functis are activated. File The Explorer file is opened and you can select the file you want to load. This may also be a USB stick. In this way you can save the parameter set of a permanently implemented unit of a system to a USB stick and edit this easily the PC. USB A popup window opens. The modified parameter set can be transferred to the cnected unit or saved in a file. A plausibility check of the parameter is carried out, and, if necessary, an error message is generated or the successful transfer is shown in a popup window. The parameter names must be written correctly. A differentiati must be made between upper and lower case capitals. The search can ly be applied to the respective active window. Save as... Print... Help... Info about Finish Illustrati 23: SYSTEM Pull down menu The 'Save as...' functi allows all program data to be saved in any storage medium. All parameter sets of both windows, incl. search and the associated equipment data, such as manufacturer, serial number, hardware versi etc. are saved. The 'Open ' functi allows e of these *.itd files to be opened. It is therefore possible at any time to interrupt the cfigurati process, to save the data and to resume the work at another locati and at another time. All program data is deleted with the functi 'New...' to allow new data to be imported. The 'Print' functi allows a unit's documentati for the active window to be printed out or a *.pdf file to be created with a suitable printer driver. The Import functi allows you to load two parameter sets and display them in parallel the screen. The associated parameter list opens the right next to the parameter tree. The parameter sets of two devices are shown at the same time, so that both windows can be cnected with the CONNECT functi. Both parameter sets are shown a green background, although the active window appears in a lighter green. Calling up a parameter list now impacts both windows at the same time. You can move the marking with the mouse. The original value is restored by pressing the reset butt. If you want to accept the entered value for this parameter, press the samenamed butt. The 'Copy >>>' butt allows parameter values to be copied to the parameter set of the secd unit. The plausibility of the entered values is checked. If an erreous entry is made, the value is shown in red and the accept butt is greyed out so that the value cannot be saved. Those parameters that correspd to the search term in terms of upper and lower case are found. Wildcards cannot be used. If the unit objects to a parameter value, an error message is generated and the parameter values are marked in red in the parameter list. An Example This is an with a measuring range of 0 80 Pa. The following optis are available to find this parameter: You can enter this parameter name into the search field You navigate the parameter tree for the analogue input 1 and check the parameter list here for red entries. When checking the parameter lists of analogue input 1, several parameters were identified during the plausibility check whose values are erreous and marked in red.
