Authentication requirements Microso oft Dynamics AX requires that the database use Windows Authentication to authenticate users. For Oracle, be sure you that have installed and configured the Windows native authentication adapter. See your Oracle documentation for details. Other requirements The computer running the Microsoft Dynamics AX database server must also have access to computers in the same domain running Active Directory configured in native mode. To support reporting functionality, the database server must also have access to a computer in the same domain running SQL Server 005 Reporting Services, SP1. To support analysis functionality, the database server must also have access to computers in the same domain running SQL Server 000 Analysis Services, SP4, or SQL Server 005 Analysis Services, SP1. File server requirements You may place the Microsoft Dynamics AX application files on any Windows-based computer. There are no minimum requirements identified for the computer. The computer must be part of a domain with access to computers in the same Active Directory domain running Active Directory configured in native mode.
