3 Purpose This document describes the steps required to install the Lexmark TM Module for FileNet Capture Professional application. Integration 1

4 Requirements The Integration Module for FileNet Capture Professional application is a Lexmark Document Distributor Server plug-in application. It depends upon having LDDS on your system. In order to meet this system requirement, you will need to have version 3.3 of LDDS installed. System Requirements The following are the recommended minimum RAM and disk requirements for LDSS as well as the FileNet Capture Professional application: A dedicated server with 1 GB RAM and 10 GB free disk space for the server and 1 GB free disk space for database. Many factors can influence processor requirements and performance. Consideration should be given to: Network bandwidth, i.e., WAN speed and traffic, dial-up or T1, etc. Type of actions per profile, i.e., actions that require ODBC reads/writes, OCR, bar code reads/writes, etc. Size and properties of transaction, i.e., number of pages, resolution, graphics content, etc. Schedule peaks, i.e., number of simultaneous server connections, etc. 2

7 Installation Instructions LDSS Configuration for FileNet Perform the following installation and configuration tasks to successfully install and use the FileNet Action Module: LDSS Installation Install the SAP Database, Distributor Server, Server Manager and Select N Send Client from CD0 or CD1. Install the FileNet Action Module: Complete the following simple steps to install and set up the FileNet Capture Professional application: 1. Insert the Integration Module for FileNet Capture Professional CD into your computer CD-Rom Drive. This will automatically launch the installation wizard. 2. Click the Install Lexmark Integration Module for FileNet Capture Professional option. 3. View the license agreement and click the Yes button to accept. 4. Review the installation settings that have been made. If you would like to change any settings click the Back button. To finish the installation, click the Finish button. 5. After notification that the installation has been completed, click the Done button. *Note Do not run FileNet Capture Professional on the same machine that is running LDSS and the FileNet API. ODBC Configuration Complete the following steps to make some changes to the ODBC configuration: 5

8 1. Open odbcad32.exe and click the System DSN tab. In the Name column, you should see an entry for an access database with a name that looks similar to your CS server name, but contains an extra CS at the end. 2. Select that entry and then click the Configure button. 3. Click the Advanced button in the ODBC Microsoft Access Setup window. 4. In the Set Advance Options dialog box, type a login name and password. *Note remember this name and password, you will need it later. 5. Click OK and return to the main ODBC Data Source Administrator dialog box. 6. Close the ODBC Administrator. Gather Settings for use in LDSS Script The next step in this process is the gathering of information to fill out a working script. Required fields in a CS script are as follows: DSNSource the name of the OCBC source that was previously added as a login name in the ODBC Administrator. DSNUserID the login name that was previously created for the DSN Source. DSNPassword the password that was previously added in the ODBC Administrator (not required). Server To get the correct Server entry, complete the following steps: 6

9 1. Open Programs FileNet IDM Configure. 2. Write down the text you see beside the Set Default Library button. *Note If you will be hard-coding the Server in your script, you will need to add an extra ^ (for example TESTCS54^^FILE-NET-1). If you will be entering the Server as a prompt or local setting, use the single ^ as it appears in the IDM Configure dialog box. UserID a user that exists in the CS system. *Should be the same username that you are logging into the LDSS Server with. Password the password for the user in the CS system. *Should be the same password that you are logging into the LDSS Server with. TemplateName the template that your files will be using when going into the CS System. FolderName the location for your files. *Make sure that you have added a folder to the CS System and that you are using that folder name here. 7
