3 WELCOME TO THE FIRSTBEAT SPORTS CLOUD! 3 Please log in into the Firstbeat Sports Cloud with the received credentials by visiting:

4 DOWNLOADS, DEFAULT SETTINGS AND MY PROFILE 4 Within DOWNLOADS you can download all necessary software: Sports Monitor (Win/Mac): for real time training load and recovery monitoring Within SETTINGS you are able to: view your ACCOUNT INFO (number of profiles available, account expiration) MANAGE COACH ACCOUNT/S (create personal credentials for coaches within your organization) access DEFAULT SETTINGS (units and description of the Training Zones, which can be customized for your needs) you should adjust these when logging in for the first time in order to have reports and analyses according to your wishes Enter the SETUP WIZARD helping you to start using the sports monitor easily Make changes to your own profile, including your language, address, or password by clicking on your name.

5 STARTING THE FIRSTBEAT SPORTS MONITOR! 5 Log in with your credentials after having downloaded and installed the Firstbeat Sports Monitor software.! Info: Within the desktop version you also have the option to open the Firstbeat Sports Cloud (Internet connection needed) and make changes to your account or profile if needed.

6 TEAM MANAGEMENT 6 Start by creating your team. Then add athletes and subgroups. Click on ADD ATHLETES to create a new athlete profile. Furthermore, you can create and edit a new team, i.e. you can for example: add a logo if you wish add athletes, delete and edit their data create or delete subgroups for the athletes, and move the players using the drag and drop feature into their respective subgroup (e.g. Defenders, Strikers, etc.)

7 ADDING ATHLETES / EDITING ATHLETE PROFILES 7 In this view you can create or edit an athlete profile. In addition to required information, additional body metrics will improve the accuracy of the analysis. An address is required in order to receive training reports after each session. You can also deactivate that function. Additional metrics will be automatically estimated if not known.

8 HEART RATE BELT - ID 8 Entering a belt-id will pair a HRbelt with an athlete profile enter the number shown on the back of the belt:

9 FIRSTBEAT TEAM RECEIVER QUICK GUIDE Set-up the Firstbeat Team Receiver to start the monitoring 9 Make sure that you connect the individual parts of the receiver as shown in the picture. Note that the receiver antenna needs to point upwards. Connect the receiver with the help of the adapter to the tripod and connect the cable to the USBport of your laptop.

10 MONITORING IN REAL TIME 10 Click on the MONITOR tab to start a new training session. The software will search for the receiver and belts. If you have entered multiple teams, please select the team you would like to monitor. Active belts are listed and can now be paired with its respective athlete (if not paired already). Click on START SESSION when all is set up.

11 PRACTICAL TIPS 11 If the belts have not been applied correctly or may be defective, you will be notified within the monitoring screen immediately. Make sure that the belts are therefore been put on correctly and securely as well as cleaned thoroughly.! Please note that if the computer goes into sleep mode, the USB ports will stop functioning and recording will stop!

12 REAL TIME MONITORING VIEW 12 Once you start exercising, you can see the individual parameters of the players in the different boxes. There is also a box that shows an overview of the entire team and subgroups. The colors of each box correspond to the relative HRzone of the players, which can be adjusted within athletes profiles. By clicking on LAP, you will place a lap marker that will be displayed on the final report. Example of the real time monitoring process with the FC São Paulo.

13 MANAGE ATHLETES AND GROUPS 13 From the MENU: Manage athletes and groups. You can add and remove athletes and groups to the monitored session.? The Memory state indicates if the belt's memory is activated (recording). Belts which have no internal memory have indication "no memory". Despite the memory status, all the belts are transmitting and data is stored in real time.

14 VIEW SETTINGS 14 You can expand the options by clicking on VIEW SETTINGS and choosing which parameters are shown in real time. You can select 1-4 variables at once (TE requires a space of two parameters). Please note that all parameters are still recorded.

15 END MONITORING SESSION 15 The session can be ended by clicking END SESSION. After ending the session, you can add training type and comments to the session which are then shown in the reports. Feedback reports are sent via after the data has been synced with the Sports Cloud, which happens automatically when the computer is online next time.

16 DASHBOARD VIEW 16 Within the DASHBOARD you can view all previous recordings of the respective player and the mean values of the entire team. Click on the upper right part of the screen to view the other parameters within the dashboard: Example of the dashboard view at São Paulo FC.

17 DASHBOARD VIEW DELETING A MEASUREMENT 17 Delete the session, e.g. in this case you could delete the training session titled FOOTBALL by clicking on. Example of the dashboard view at São Paulo FC.

18 FIRSTBEAT QUICK RECOVERY TEST (3 MIN) 18 Please follow the instructions for conducting the Quick Recovery Test (QRT) on the screen. Start each player individually by clicking the Start/Stop button beside their name or the whole team by clicking on START TEST FOR ALL. Example of the Firstbeat QRT with São Paulo FC.! It is recommended to perform the QRT before a training session. Moreover, we recommend to repeat the tests under the same conditions (see instructions).

19 FIRSTBEAT SPORTS CLOUD DASHBOARD 19 You can access the Sports Cloud dashboard through Sports Monitor or by logging in to using any laptop or tablet. The Cloud dashboard allows you to open individual and group reports by clicking the PDF-icon next to the team/athlete. Example of the Cloud dashboard view at São Paulo FC.
