2 NETSCAPE Brewers, then make all kind of the statistics report for enterprise management and decision _making, improve effective of management. 1 Configure the Web Server Running Environment First use the Web server to detect the IP address of fingerprint device, E.g. the IP address of the fingerprint device is Input thehttp:// to the IE address column, enter and like as the following figure. The default name of super administer is the admin, the login password is admin888. Notice:In order to improve system security, please enter Configure Web Server parameter to revise the password 1.1 Identity authentications After Click to configure Web Sever parameter, put up the identity authentication to check whether owns the privilege to configure the Web Sever parameter. Input the user name and password to examine, after meet the 2
3 authentication request, and then enter to configure the Web Server 1.2 Web Server Running Environment Enter to configure interface, like as following figure. Web Root Path: Source file directory and its default value is myweb. Web Port: the default port is 80 Session:How many users are available to login at same time? Session Timeout:The time define as the overtime of linking, when the user has not done any operation in a setting period, the system will default the user has been away, and the exit automatically. Default Language: The default language is Chinese and English. Above each parameter all are able to changed, first make that the cursor is located in the text frame, and directly input the revises value. For example, changes Web Port to 8888, input in the address column of IE browser when enter the system. As the Default Language is a Chinese, the system prompt language all is a Chinese; As the Default Language is English, the system prompt language all is English. Note: according to the real condition to revise the Default Language and the Web Port, 3
4 the best way is to use the default setup. After complete the setup to save it, be sure restart the device immediately or later, so the configuration changes take effect 1.3 Configure Administer Click next to enter the administer interface, the system has 3 kinds of user Supper admin: Own the privilege to use all function of the device. Such as Access control setup. User management. System setup. Data manage. Manager: It is only used to access control setup and user administer. Individual User:It is only used to admin the user. Super Administer password revision: Inputs the admin in the user management, login the password to input the new password. Clicks "Save Setup" to modify the password. Inputs the user name in the user management, login the password and select the respective group, after click Save Setup, it will add a manager to system, and also can increase a record in the list. After the operation complete, clicks next step to enter Web Server Setup to the complete interface, if you have configured the Web Server parameter, please restart the terminal to make that the setup become effective; If needs to reconfigure Web Server setup single-click ' Reconfigure '; If needs to login the Web system, please click Login Web System 4
5 Note: it is only the supper administer own the option to configure Web Sever, whatever it is in the any condition the super admin can not be canceled, can but modify the password, the new registered administer can not modify the password or the privilege, if do not need, please delete it. 2 Access Control Setup The Access Control Setup is the configuration of user s unlocks Time Periods and unlock combine. The access control setup module include: Time Periods setup, group setup, unlock combine setup. Each user s setup made by the group setup, the use group Time Periods, the user Time Periods belong to ones, The grouping is that the user is distributed into a group, like as 1 group, 2 group and so on; it is capable to distribute user in the adding new user or modifying user information procedure. The group Time Periods can support to choose most three time, these three Time Periods are "or" the relations (it is enough namely to satisfy only one of the three). Unlocking combination definition is the combination which is defined by different unlocking; each combination is composed by the different group. Take a simple to explain the unlocking condition a registration user can: 1: The user s group must be in the unlocking combination (also to be possible together with other groups in an unlocking combination, but needs to be able to together unlock door). 2:the current unlocking time locate in any effective time range of the user Time Periods or group period time, The system default the new user registered belong to the first group, and the grouping is the first group, and the group Time Periods is "1", until configure access control setup the new user registered is defaulted in the unlocking status (if user modify the corresponded setup of the access control, system will change along with user's revision), if there are no user to belong to the group in the unlock combine, then user can not unlock door 5

The time period is the minimum hour unit of access control option. The overall system is ability to divide into maximum 50 Time Periods. Each time period is defined as seven times ranges a week, each time range is an effective time periods in the 24 hours of a day. Each user is ability to set 3 time periods, the relationships among three time periods are "or", it is effective so long as the verified time can satisfy one of these three time period,. Each time period range format is: HH:MM-HH:MM, the system defers to 24 hours mode and get accurate minimum unit until the minute. The end- time is less than the start- time (23:57-23:56) to express the entire day to be 6
7 forbidden, the end-time is larger than the start- time (00:00-23:59) to express this range is effective. The effective time period for the user to unlock: Entire day open (00: 00-23: 59) or the endtime is larger than the start- time in the time period. Input time period serial number: After set the time period, clicks the save setup, and then added the time period appear under the interface table. Serial number is Groups Setting The group setup is ability to divide the user into a group; the system has defined 5 groups: 1 group, 2 groups, 3 groups, 4 groups, 5 groups. The system default the new user registered belongs to 1 group, ability to redistributes user into each group while add new user or revise user procedure. The group Time Periods has three Time Period, their relationship are "or". Input group serial number: After Set group setup, clicks the Save to save setup, then add the group setup express the under table. Serial number 1-5 7
8 Note: this group is invalid when the Time Period 1 is 0, if the time Period 2 is 0, otherwise the time Period 3 is invalid 2.3 Access Combine the unlocks combination is the direct performance to control locks, for example, if a user want that all user registered are not able to unlock, user would set the 10 unlocks combination all are empty. The unlock combination definition is to define different ability the unlocking combination; each combination is composed by the different group. The unlocking combination directly use group number, does not consider the user verification sequence between each group. For example "1,2,3"expressed 1 group, 2 group, 3 group, at least one user of the each group together are verified until the lock can be operated; "4" an express that a alone user of 4 group has been verified then the lock is able to be unlocked Note:Unlocking combine of the system initial default is 1 (Default new user registered t can unlock) 8
9 After set unlocking combine, click Save to save setup, the system can simultaneously define maximum 10 kinds the to unlock combination, so long as one of them can pass then 3 User Management Click icon to enter user management interface, this interface is defaulted as Manage all User interface. User management module include: manage all user, add new user, query in and out log 3.1 Management All User User is ability to examine all information of personnel registered through this interface. And can utilize the work code, the name and the group to achieve the condition inquiry, information Directly clicks the work code or the name. And enter the page to change personnel 9
10 This interface and the new user registered interface are same. Please pay attention that the special note place is difference. 3.2 Add New User Click Add New User in the Setting Information column, following interface appear. Input the new user information according to the page prompt, attention must be paid to the work code do not have conflict, choose the group which has been defined in the access control setup to the respective group (the default group is 1), choose to use or not to use the group Time Period, if does not use the group Time Period, other choose 3 Time Period, the relations are "or", these 3 Time Period is ability effectively to be visited, user choose the privilege, and click Save 10
11 to backup the setup after complete to fulfill the information, if the system prompt that user information has correctly stored up, that indicate added successfully, otherwise repeat the operation process according to the prompt. Through the external fingerprint sensor we can achieve "Enrollment fingerprint" operation. But it is needs to be installed. (Installs the ZKOnlin module.please see appendix 1) After the fingerprint sensor is connected with PC, may click the enrollment fingerprint in the adding new user interface, and chooses any finger to enroll, like as the following figure shows: Press the identical finger four times, the successful enrollment will show following figure. 11
12 Click the "confirms" key to confirm. If the fingerprint quality is not good or does not simultaneously press the identical finger, then show fail to enroll the fingerprint After completes the Enrollment, to verify whether the fingerprint is effective or not, click the verification fingerprint that shows as follow. Ask you place a finger, if the prompt information is: "The fingerprint verification fail" that explain you place the finger is wrong or the pressing way is not right. Please repress the finger again. The display information prompts that "the fingerprint verification is successful", and automatic shut-off this window. Validate finish. 3.3 Query the event log Click Query the event log in the Setup information following interface appear 12
13 Input a work code to inquire the event logs for someone or all people within the input time period range. Click next step to examine these logs, and might choose the logs to download and save it to the computer 4. System Setting Click icon of system setup; enter the default interface that is the communication parameter interface. The system setting module includes six parts: Communication Parameter. Access Control Parameter, Fingerprint Parameter, Synch Time. Manage Power. Other Parameter. 4.1Communcation Parameter View the communication setup of the fingerprint terminal through this communication interface. 13
14 Here you can modify the communication parameters, click the Save button to save setup after to complete modified it, if the IP address has been modified, please close the window and be sure to restart the terminal, and refresh the setup, synch the configuration and the fingerprint terminal. 4.2 Access Control Parameter Click the access control parameter in the setup column, show as follow According to the demand to set the parameter: Lock (Time duration of lock drive): fingerprint machine controls the time to open electronic lock, the minimum unit is 20ms; the system default value is 100ms. Door Sensor Delay: the door has opened for a period of time until the machine trigger a 14
15 Warner; the period of time is door sensor delay. Door Sensor Switch: there are three option that is none( NONE), normal open (NO), normal close(nc).the none means the door Sensor doesn t apply, Normal Open is defined that The door can be set to a Passage Mode in the normal ready work state, Normal Close means that the door is close in the normal ready work state. Duress Alarm Option: Use a new fingerprint to be special enrolled or defines a fingerprint enrolled as the duress fingerprint, this fingerprint has been authenticating through fair and foul. the system will Trigger a alam singal to prevent sameone is forced to open door. Alarm delay:defining automaction alarm time: when the duress alarm happen and the system do not dirctly trigger alarm singal immediately, but can define a period time until automactionly trigger alarm singal( 0-255sec.) the default time is 10Sec. the mode of validation alarm The fingerprint machine fully supports three verification modes: 1:1 match, 1: N match, Password authentication, and here you can choose one or other several verification ways for the duress alarm. click the Save button to save setup after to complete modified it, and refresh the setup,synch the configuration and the fingerprint terminal. 4.3 Fingerprint Parameter follow. Click Access Control Parameter in the setup information column, show as 15
16 Fingerprint Match Way:Select the 1:1 or 1: N way to match Show Score: whether show the quality value of fingerprint in the screen or not; 1: N Threshold: For helping in selecting threshold level settings, when there are many fingerprint to match, it is better to set the threshold as high, avoid the system fail accept fingerprint 1:1 Threshold: when use ID+ fingerprint to verify so set the Threshold level, due to the 1:1 matching is a high precision way, the threshold can set as middle or Low, the system default level highest click the Save button to save setup after to complete modified it, and refresh the setup,synch the configuration and the fingerprint terminal. 4.4Synchroniztion Time Click Synch Time in the setup information column, show as follow Current terminal time: this time is to show the terminal time. The system default correct way is: Synch the terminal and PC, Manually correct the time. Date: Show the date set on the terminal; the default format is YYYY-MM-DD. If manually correct the time was selected, then ability to renew the date. If want to modify the date format, then you can modify it in the other setup item Click the Save button to save setup after to complete modified it, synch the configuration and the fingerprint terminal 16
17 4.5 Power Management Click Power Management in the setup information column, show as following Power Management:Select the Power Management Mode, there are two modes to select, the default value is open. Time turn off:the system default value is 12:00, it can be modified it. Idles Setting :The system default as shut down mode, it can be change to sleep state Idles Time:The system default value is 30 minute, the device will go to sleep or shut down until it within idles time 30 minute. Time sleep: the system default is 12:05, after arrive at the defined time then the device will go to sleep. click the Save button to save setup after to complete modified it, and refresh the setup,synch the configuration and the fingerprint terminal. 4.6 Other Parameter Click Other Parameter in the setup information column, show as following 17
18 Only verify the number card: there are 2 kinds of choice, the default is yes Must input the ID number: whether it has to input the ID number or not, while user perform verification matching Date format: The system default the machine date format is YY-MM-DD. Ability to choose other format. Voice prompt: while operate the terminal, whether needs the voice prompt or not. Alarm Management log, when the surplus management log capacity achieved the set value, the equipment will automatically send out warning information about the log is already full; Alarm Attendance Log: when the remainder log capacity reached set numerical value, it will automatically sound a warning that logs were full. Recheck Minute: In the set time scope (unit: Minute), if some person's had already been checked his attendance log exist, then, second checking attendance but the result could not preserve. 5 Data Management Click the data management icon; enter the system information interface that is a default interface the data management module is divided into 6 parts:the system information, the management control, the downloading data, the uploading data, the operation log, remotely opens the door. 5.1 System information This interface display information is the system information of the fingerprint machine that is 18
19 connected with PC, Examines the information of the fingerprint machine through software. 5.2 management control Open management control" in the setup information, show interface as follow This interface utilizes Web Server to control shutting down, sleeping, restarting. And ability to operate a data to the fingerprint machine. Clear the manager privilege: Eliminates manager on the fingerprint machine. Delete management log: Delete the management log on the fingerprint machine. Delete all data: Delete all data on the fingerprint machine that include attendance data, management data, and user data. 19
20 Delete user data: Delete user's fingerprint information. 5.3 download Data Open " downloading data in the setup information, show interface as follow: Chooses a data which must be downloaded in the system data frame, ability to export 4 kinds of data, after selecting, single-click downloading the define data, the form of data to be exported is a dat format 5.4 Upload Data Open uploading Data in the setup information column, show like as follow 20
21 Select uploading Data, then click next step. Like as follow Click the brows to choose the file to be uploaded, click uploading data to achieve operation. 5.5 Operation Log Click operation log to view the event log of the fingerprint machine. 5.6 Remotely Open Door Click remotely open door, and send a signal to the terminal to control the terminal open the door, the system prompt the whether the is opened or not, after the operation finish. 21

23 Appendix1 Install ZKOnline Module 1 Install driver It is need to install the driver of fingerprint sensor in the computer that is in use, if the drive within Biokey SDK CD has been already installed, be allowed to skip this step, before installing, please check your operating system (the front-end browser operating system is windows; The background server operating system is Unix and Linux) and the computer configuration meet the requirement of software running. Before installing, if your computer has connected with the fingerprint sensor, be best to take it off. Put the CD into the CD-ROM drive of the computer, the installing software automatically read or. Follow the prompts to execute Setup.exe Note: The installing procedure only is the fingerprint sensor driver and the soft dog s driver. The license: 1) The soft- dog license, please ensure the soft- dog correctly connect with the com port of computer. 2) Uses the file license, needs to copy the permit file to directory under the Windows system. 2. Register the ZKOnline plug-in for client-end It is need to register the ZKOnline plug-in in the client- end, and then can take effect in the homepage and program development 1) copy following file to Windows system directory (c: \windows\system) Zkonline.ocx controls storehouse file Zkonline.lic license of the control storehouse file: 2) register controls zkonline.ocx: Input following the computer orders in the start" ---"run" c:\windows\system\regsvr32.exe c:\windows\system\zkonline.ocx Note:the directory of Windows98 ME system is c:\windows\system the directory of Windows NT 2000 XP is c:\windows\system32 23

To register installing background server COM+ module (option), please see appendix 2 Appendix 2: To register installing background server COM+ module if use the IIS+ASP to develop, then need to install and register COM+ module FPCom in the background WEB server dll, step as follow 1.
