Switch User Grants access to another user logging in over top of current user. Log Off When you are finished using the machine during the day. Lock When you want to continue working, but need to step away. Restart Brief shutdown of machined followed by a power up. Sleep Saves your work and minimizes power consumption.

The new tab will appear allowing you to multitask between two open websites. As you begin navigating the Internet, the new tabs will open and provide you with the sites you frequently visit. This is a time saver for users rather than keying in websites or accessing them from their Favorites. When you have Internet Explorer minimized, and want to navigate back to it, hover the mouse over the icon in the Task Bar Left-click on the snapshot of your choice to open the webpage in the Active Window. All of the open windows or tabs will appear. Hover your mouse over the snapshot of your choice and the Active Window will change to that webpage. Navigate the mouse between the two and watch the Active Window Change.
9 Helpful Hints Side-By-Side Windows Option 1 Multiple programs can be open at once within Windows 7. The program you are currently working on is known as the Active Window (it is getting your attention). Restore down your Active window so that it makes the window smaller. Left-click, hold and drag the Title Bar of the Active Window to the right or left side of the monitor. As your mouse reaches the edge, the Window will fill that half of the screen. Restore down a different window so that it makes the window smaller. Left-click, hold and drage the Title Bar of that Active Window to the opposite side of the monitor. This allows you to work side-by-side and be more productive. Option 2 Right Click the Task Bar and left click on Show Windows Side By Side The current windows that you have open are forced into Side-By-Side format. Option 3 When an Active Window is open in a small view setting Click and hold the Windows key on the keyboard and press a left or right directional arrow The window fills half of the screen in the direction you selected. Stacked Windows Right Click the Task Bar and left click on Show Windows Stacked The current windows that you have open are forced to appear one on top of the other. Full Screen Windows Option 1 Within the Active Window, Click on the Maximize button Option 2 Left-click, hold and drag the Title Bar of the Active Window to the top of the monitor. As your mouse reaches the edge, the Window will fill the screen. Option 3 Double click the Title Bar of the Active Window - The Active Window will automatically fill the screen Minimizing Un-Needed Windows Option 1 Click on each inactive window to make it become the Active Window. Left-Click on the minimize button to dock the window to the Status Bar. Repeat for each window you want minimized. Option 2 When multiple windows are open in a small view setting Left-click, hold and drag the Title Bar of the Active Window to either side of the screen and give it a shake The inactive windows will automatically minimize to the Status Bar. Force the Size and Placement of Windows When an Active Window is open in a small view setting Hover the mouse over each of the four corners until you see a multidirection mouse pointer. Click and drag to resize the window via each of the four corners. Once you have the desired size and placement of the window, close it by clicking the Red X. The next time you open that program, it will open to that size and screen placement.
10 Changing your desktop (aka Wallpaper) Right Click on the desktop and left click on Personalize From the Window that opens, click on the following icon Click on the Browse button Navigate to the stored location of the photo you wish to select (you must open the folder the image is contained in) Click on OK to choose that folder
