1 TEXAS STUDENT DATA SYSTEM TEAL - TSDS PORTAL LOGON

2 You must have a TEAL logon in order to request access to the TSDS Portal application (Unique ID). Enter your Username and Password on the TEAL logon page on the TEA website. Click Login. 2

3 The Applications tab will display with any TEAL applications or linked TEASE applications you currently have. 3

4 Click on My Application Accounts on the left. This will display the My Accounts tab and provide more detailed information about your current accounts. 4

5 Click on Request New Account. 5

6 A listing of applications displays. Double-click on TSDSPortal under the Application ID column. (TSDSPortal is the Unique ID application.) 6

7 The screen will display the application requested. Click Add Access. 7

8 The Application access details box displays. 8

9 In the Employing Organization area, key in your district s name into the Organization field. A listing will appear allowing you to select your district. 9

10 The Roles & Parameters area allows you to select the appropriate Role. It is very important that this role is selected correctly. Districts should carefully determine what access is needed for TSDS Portal applicants. 10

11 In the Roles & Parameters area, check the appropriate Role. System Configurator (TEA Only) System Support (TEA Only) Uniq-ID Campus (This role provides specific campus Maintenance rights for the user) Uniq-ID LEA (this role provides district Maintenance rights for the user) Uniq-ID Search (this role provides district View Only rights for the user) 11

12 Under the selected role, choose the Authorized Organization by keying the County District number of your district. A popup will appear allowing you to select your district. If you selected Uniq-ID Campus, select the appropriate County District Campus. If you select Uniq-ID LEA or Uniq-ID Search, select the appropriate County District. 12

13 Click Done at the bottom of the window. 13

14 This will return you to the My Accounts page and display the application. Click Save Changes to complete the process. You should see a message at the top of the window indicating this was successful. When you complete the request, an notice is sent to your Superintendent (or your district s Approver for TSDS Portal). Upon approval by your Superintendent, TEA will grant access and you will receive the following notice from TEAL Admin: TEA Application Access Request Your access request for the Texas Student Data System Portal Application has been processed. Log on at: Application Assistance: Additional information about the application is available from the following link: If you have questions about this change, please send to TEA Computer Access at computer.access@tea.state.tx.us. This application will appear on the left side of the Applications window, HOWEVER, it will not be active until March 25 when TEA opens Unique ID. 14

15 Please contact Data Services if you have questions or need assistance in applying for our TEAL TSDS Portal access. Districts will need to begin the process of assigning Unique IDs through the TSDS Portal application during the last week of March. The Summer PEIMS submission cannot be completed without Unique ID assignment. Please do not delay requesting this access.
