4 1 Introduction Aastra is releasing the new maintenance software version R11.0 Service Pack 2 (j025) on the MD Evolution M/Mi and XL/XLi communication platforms. 2 Life cycle Maintenance package R11.0 SP2 (j025) is the new software version delivered with the MD Evolution systems (factory version) This package is the maintenance package of R11.0 version. Planning General Availability of R11.0 SP2 (j025) version Date Jan 2012 for MDE M/Mi et MDE XL/Xli Note: hardware compatibilities with software versions evolved with Version R10.2 and are applicable for Version R11.0 SP2 (j025) version: - MD Evolution M/Mi : motherboards before CPJ5 are not compatible since V10.2 software version - MD Evolution XL/Xli : motherboards MPM and MD34/MD35/MD36 cabinets are not compatible since V10.2 software version Please, refer to Hardware/software compatibilities matrix according to software versions, which can be browsed on Aastra Extranet or Infochannel space. 3 Technical description 3.1 New features and fixes New features added: - IP H323 A7444ip phones are now supported in EBN mode only (backup of MxOne system). In that case, the new version TLG is mandatory. - New command for hotel mode: reset command of all room status from an attendant terminal by dialing prefix room status + code + #. Various fixes (from service pack R11.0 SP1 (j021)) : - DECT radio resets.: Radio resets when too long display is sent to DECT, or display is sent to DECT after SETUP but before ALERTING acknowledgment, or concatenated consecutive messages are sent to DECT. 5 - Progress indicator is sometimes missing: Progress indicator Interworking with public network is not provided by EBN in case of transit of incoming public ISDN calls to Mx-One via an IP networking link. - XIP restart when dialling by Name using prefix: When the prefix is used to dial by name the board XIP restart; This problem existed since R11.0 J014 for IP-Phones D4, D5 and Basta. - Alarm synchro Zi on several MD M/MI : On particular configuration, there was a bad handling of the timer related to the switching of ringing relay. Alarms «code 31» occur. The version 11.0 j025 is working with the CPU software license R11.x. 3.2 Administration tools and upgrade Software package The official available software is as follows: - New software package R11.0 SP2 named PKG_MDE-R11.0_0-025.pkg, - Associated xip Software xip with new software releases for A6739i, A743xip, D442x, D5446 phones. - Associated xmv Software xmv New software version of TLG DECT TDM fixing (DTC out of service) requires the new release V2.19 of the IWU PROM. When an upgrade from version R10.2 with IP-DECT OMM v1.8.5 to version R11.0 with IP-DECT OMM v2.1 is done, we recommend that the base station activation code of the OMM product should be generated before intervention on customer site. Upgrade from R11.0 or R11.0 Service pack 1 to R11.0 Service Pack 2 is managed by Simplified Upgrading procedure. Note: R11.0 requires a xip compact flash with 1GB minimum if pictures server is used for A6739i phones. Otherwise, compact flash with 256MB can be equipped: a new simplified procedure is available in TLG (since R11.0 j011 version) for the upgrade management of MDE system with compact flash < 1GB. This simplified procedure allows also to save the music announcements and voice messages. 6 4 Defects and restrictions: - Display is not fully updated for transferred calls on the DECT A142d or A600d screen. DECT phone calls A phone which makes a transfer to B phone. On the DECT screen, the remote subscriber name (name of B phone) is correct, but the second line displays the A phone dial number. - Fax is not working faced totelenor SIP trunk operator. Page 6/7
