1 Sharepoint Installation Overview This documentation will go over how to install Sharepoint for configuring with Panopto. Note: The documentation is only applicable for O365 Cloud-Hosted SharePoint sites. Please contact Panopto support if you have an On-Prem version of SharePoint. Prerequisites Admin access to Panopto SharePoint Lists and Libraries Experience set to Classic Experience ADFS Server 1. Configure SharePoint Settings 1.1. From within SharePoint access the Sharepoint Store from the Site Settings by selecting Add an App (See Figure 1).

Access the Panopto App from the Site Settings menu by selecting the Site Contents menu Select the Panopto App to access the Configure Panopto Video Server Settings page Click New Item (Fig. 3).

Configure Panopto Settings To configure the appropriate Panopto Settings, log into your Panopto application with an administrator account Site Wide SSL 4.1.a. Please note that if you are a hosted customer you will need to contact Panopto Support to enable this setting for you. 4.1.b. Deployed customers can access the following setting (Fig. 4). 4.1.c. Expand System and select Settings. 4.1.d. Click the Choose a category dropdown and select General Site Settings. 4.1.e. Locate the setting Site Wide SSL and set the value to True. Figure 4 5. 5 5.1. Expand System and select Identity Providers Click Add Provider Select the Provider Type of SharePoint. Figure 5 Instance Name: Internal-only field; must be alphanumeric characters only. Example: My SharePoint Friendly Description: Text shown to users in the recorder and website login for single sign on. Bounce Page Url: URL for your single sign on service. Example: ( Server Name: Sharepoint server URL. Authn Request Cert Name: Panopto Entity ID: Name of a locally installed cert, with private key, with which to sign SAML authentica requests. Leave blank if you don't want the requests signed. Value identifying Panopto instance. Example: ( Issuer: URL provided for SSO that identifies the identity authority. Public Key: Public Key text used for SAML authentication. A semi-colon separated list of field and attribute pairs. This setting is used to map the names in the SAML Assertion to the User fields in the Panopto system. The possible f are ID, FirstName, LastName, , SupplementalData, GroupMembership. Example: "FirstName=first_name;LastName=last_name; =user_ ;SupplementalData=a The ID, SupplementalData, and GroupMembership fields have special meaning/han Attribute Mappings: The ID of the user (usually a username) is normally included in a special part of the SAML packet called the "Identity" assertion. The SupplementalData mapping provides a way for the SAML provider to stor piece of data for each user in their User profile in Panopto.

6 The GroupMembership attribute specifies the name of the attribute whose valu external groups. (Note: When a user logs in with SAML they are added to group included in the SAML Assertion. If groups listed in the Assertion do not exist in they are ignored. Only groups from the same ID Provider are included (regular n Panopto groups are not). This is sometimes referred to as JIT provisioning, but f it only includes creating users and group memberships to pre-existing groups. If ADFS is being used in conjunction with Windows Integrated Authentication, SAML Integration Documentation will serve as a valuable resource for configur attributes. Client ID: ID generated from installed App within SharePoint. Client secret: Secret generated from installed App within SharePoint.
