1 Avaya Vantage Software This file is the Readme document for the Avaya Vantage Release software. This file describes the contents of the GA software distribution package. The information in this document is accurate as of the issue date and subject to change. Please refer to the Advisements in this file for important information prior to deploying this software. Call Platform Compatibility The Avaya Vantage software is supported with: Avaya Aura Platform 7.0.0, and Feature support in Avaya Vantage software Below are the feature highlights for the new Avaya Vantage software: Android 6.0 Google applications (GMS) including google play Exchange account support Push application Networking Ethernet and WiFi POE USB Transducers support: 3.5mm headset, speaker, wired handset and RJ9 Headset Documentation for Avaya Vantage You can download the following documentation from the Avaya Support site: Installing and Administering Avaya Vantage : Using Avaya Vantage Basic on an Avaya Vantage Device: You can also locate these documents on the Support site by navigating to Support by Product > Documents and then entering Avaya Vantage as the product name. 4 Advisements with Avaya Vantage software Officially supported headsets Following headsets were tested and are officially supported with this release. Other headsets may be functional at some level but are not fully tested or officially supported (Please see known issues below ELAN-619 and on Vantage Readme). 5 Media 3604 Miracast is otמ supported in this release 3560 If you are playing media through an application (i.e. YouTube) and initiate a call by speaker off-hook, the dial tone will be played together with the media. Work around - stop media before initiating a call In rare cases users may experience a distortion in media playback or call audio. Workaround - restart media or change call transducer 3326 on the 1st time user will try to start a call from the google contact application, he will need to set Vantage Basic or Equinox as the default phone application (disregard the "Telephone" option) While making a audio call using the speaker phone, the transmit noise level is bit high Incoming Ring alert is played only on Speakerphone If user starts to play media within 2 sec of inserting and ejecting a 3.5mm headset, he may not hear the media on speaker phone. Workaround, wait at least 3 sec after removal of 3.5mm headset before playing media In some rare cases user may try to play with the volume level and get it to be seen as zero level, but in fact it will not. Security 2421 After defining SCEP you will need to reboot the device in order to take effect the SSH server settings screen may not reflect the real configuration phone failed to fetch SIP proxy, certificates and SCEP details when we set host name and domain separately in DHCP. Workaround - set the host name and domain together in DHCP 3208 If we have identity certificate error while trying to register to the AADS, it will show general error Message "Wrong password" not displayed when login to admin with wrong password Managmenet & Network 3471 While upgrade to a new version there is a short period that the device performance is slower then usual. Workaround - upgrade in non-working hours if you decide to change the default phone application, it will terminate active calls. Make sure you preform this change in non-working hours No connection to SNTP server while Connecting the device to Wi-Fi network with static IP. Workaround - do not use static IP on Wi-Fi The Net mask and default router values in the settings application may not reflect the true value. Workaround - Go back to the main setting screen and enter the screen again to see the real values 3310 Once Bluetooth headset are paired, they are remembered for a new user 3302 In the settings application the BT handset appear twice in the device list, both as paired and available In the settings application the information for Wi-Fi MAC Address under Hardware Information may be wrong while device is connected to Ethernet The BT handset will shout down before the battery is drained completely The Vantage device doesn't re-use IP address/tag after reboot when DHCP server is not available 3056 in rare cases the connect button in the Wi-Fi networks screen may be disabled. 6 Workaround, go back and renter the screen If user is logging out of the device and immediately reboot it, the device will automatically login to the extension used before the logout. Workaround - Wait few sec before doing reboot after logout Trying to access the device logs via ssh or console is denied if device is configured for SELinux. Workaround - generate debug report or disable SELINUX thru settings file The option to save debug report to USB flash drive is available only when USB flash drive is connected to the device Trying to generate Debug Report is grayed out when using URL with authentication credentials. Workaround - use http server with NO authentication in order to generate debug report Camera app may fail if user will open it during a video call The speed and duplex values in the settings application may not reflect the true value. Workaround - Go back to the main setting screen and enter the screen again to see the real values Vantage do not notify the user on empty SIP proxy details Accessing the settings application while device is in logged out mode may show some unnecessary screens, 2440 "SNTPSRVR" setting is not supporte 2405 The toast message of "Administrator password is not configured" appears only when the device is logged-in and user press the admin option in the settings application 2129 backlightoff value doesn t restore from PPM server 1430 the LLDP packet which is sent by Vantage always reports "local" as power source 1020 ICMPDU setting parameter is not supported License Agreements License agreements are available at Please select 96x1 SIP.
