4 Top Level Navigation The top level menu cantains the main catagories. Clicking a button on the top navigation will the left navigation menu items. Top Level Navigation The top level menu opens the navigation menu sub menu catagories that appear on the left side. The example above show the Website and Marketing as the selected active menu item. 6 Expanding Navigation Category Menus The double down arrows indicate more options are available for the menu. Clicking on the arrows will expand the menu (see below) The above example show the Owner Accounts expanded menu. Click the arrows again to contract the menu User Interface (Windows Edition) - 6
7 Property Chooser Drop Down Two active property selectors are available The Property Drop Down List The property dropdown list is located at the top right of the screen and is always visible. Clickin the down arrow displays all active properties. Clicing on a row will make the selected property the current active property. User Interface (Windows Edition) - 7
8 Property Chooser Side Panel The Property Chooser side panel will display the list of available properties. clicking on a property will make the selected property the active property for editing Collapsed Panel Clicking on the panel will show the property list User Interface (Windows Edition) - 8
9 Float and Dock Mode Right click on the property Chooser heading to show the Float / Dock menu When set to Float, the panel can be moved around the screen or outside the application window When set to docked the panel will be available on either the right or left side of the main screen Pin Auto Hide Mode Clicking the Pin button will Show the property chooser on screen at all times. When unpinned the property Chooser will auto hide. Auto hide will show the property chooser when the mouse is over the properly chooser pull out tab User Interface (Windows Edition) - 9

11 Toggle (view) the Navigation and Top Menu To increase the available screen space, the navigation menu or/and top menus can be temporarily removed from the screen view. The Hide/Show buttons are located on the top right of the screen above the company logo The buttons are toggle buttons. 14 Shortcuts At the top left and bottom right of the screen the Shortcut buttons are visible. These buttons will directly open commonly used screens Top Shortcuts 1. View website - opens the integrated website in a web browser window 2. View media Player (if applicable) - opens the media player window 3. Quotes - opens the Run Quotes screen 4. Dashboard 5. Overview Video 6. Currency Conversion tool Bottom Shortcuts 1. View website - opens the integrated website in a web browser window 2. 15 Status information User and Version information The top title bar displays: 1. The current user that is logged in 2. The application version number (see dashboard screen for the latest available edition) 3. The application edition (Enterprise, Solo, or Homeowner edition) Current Status 1. The current active homeowner 2. Active Property ID (this will always display the Ciirus property ID) 3. Selected Skin 4. Total number of active properties managed User Interface (Windows Edition) - 15
16 Multiple Windows (instances) of Ciirus It's possible to have multiple Ciirus windows open at any one time. This can some time be useful if you have a Master company window open and require access to a second account at the same time. A second or third active window could display a homeowner account in one window and the master management account in another. If you operate two companies then one window could be open for each company Top open a second window from the desktop shortcut To open a second window (instance of the Ciirus desktop application0 Click on the Ciirus icon located on your windows desktop or start menu. The process is the same as opening the first window Accessing Ciirus from the start menu User Interface (Windows Edition) - 16
17 Starting the Ciirus Windows Edition Ciirus can be started from a the desktop icon installed on your desktop. If the icon has been removed you can also start Ciirus from the Windows Start menu Top open a second window from the desktop shortcut Click on the Ciirus icon located on your windows desktop or start menu. 18 Choosing a different Skin / Theme Ciirus has over 30 alternative skins /themes that will change the look and theme of the application. The default theme is: Ciirus Default The skin Chooser is located at the bottom of the screen. Click on the drop down menu to select a different screen. 21 Data Grids Data Grid View The Drop Down Menu Grid Clicking on a drop down menu will display additional data (if available). The data can be sorted and grouped using the same grouping, filters and search that is available for any static data grids. User Interface (Windows Edition) - 21
22 Right clicking on a heading will display the additional options menu. User Interface (Windows Edition) - 22
23 Saving Data Two save modes are available; save to server and save locally Save To Server It is good practice to save your data after you have finished editing information. The Save button sends the update and store to update to the server. This information is not stored locally on your PC, it it stored on the remote server. If you have given access (or part access) to other members of staff, they can view/edit data you have stored remotely after you have saved your data. The Save Data button is located at the top right of the screen and is visable at all times Always save your data after you make changes Save Data Locally On some screens you can save data locally. Locally saved data cannot be viewed or updated by another member of staff using a different computer or the online edition. The save data locally is generally available for saving versions of edited web pages. For example one place that the Save local is found would be: User Interface (Windows Edition) - 23
24 Website and marketing > Home Page Top Paragraph or Website and marketing > Descriptions In this situation the user could save the current state of the web page to a folder on the local computer, then make changes to the page. If the changes did not turn out as expected then the user could use the open button to revert back to a previous saved version of the web page Note: Locally saved data is not stored on the remote server and cannot be viewed or accessed by another member of staff or another computer. 25 Setting Filters, Order and Grouping Information We will use the booking list screen to describe the Filters, Ordering and Grouping of data. Note: the same operations described below can be achieved in other screens. The data grid appears on a number of screens, including: the bookings list, bookings manager, accounting, billing, work orders and more. the method used to filter and group data is the same. Order information by heading title The results of the above data grid is ordered by property. The arrow to the right of the heading title indicates if the data is displayed in ascending or descending order. When the arrow is pointing up, the data will be displayed in ascending order When the arrow is pointing down the data is displayed in descending order User Interface (Windows Edition) - 25
26 Grouping Information To Group information by a specified group, drag the title of the heading in to the area marked: Drag a column header here to group by that column The above image show the data grouped by the property title. The bookings and grouped by property in ascending order To remove a group, drag the group back to it's default row containing all the headings User Interface (Windows Edition) - 26
27 Multi Grouping Groups may contain sub groups. The above image shows the Cat (category) a sub group below the Property Group To add a subgroup drag a heading on top of the active master group. In this example drag over the top left Property title To remove a sub group, drag the group back to it's default row containing all the headings Filtering data by name or date To filter data by a specified text (or part text), type the text into the box just below the title headings. 28 View selected information only To view selected items, 1. Click on the small filter icon that appears to the right of each title heading. 2. Select the data to be displayed. Note: various selection view are available depending if the data is to be selected by tick boxes or dates (where a calendar will appear) Multiple filters can be selected at any time, for example three properties can be selected from the property list and another filter set to display the category of the type owner bookings User Interface (Windows Edition) - 28
29 Exporting, Saving and Printing Data Some screens contain a print button, this button is used to: Print the results the results Export to a number of file formats including pdf, csv, html, excel, text and image Save the file User Interface (Windows Edition) - 29
30 Add and Removing Headings In certain situations, you may want to only view a selected number of headings from a grid. Headings can be added or removed at any time. More information is sometimes available for a a selected view. For example the above image shows the column chooser has three more headings available. To view the column chooser, right click on any heading and select Column Chooser To add a heading drag the heading from the column chooser to the row of headings at the top User Interface (Windows Edition) - 30
31 Note: To remove a column heading drag the heading away to the top of the screen. the heading will be available from the column chooser should you require it again at some point. Other filtering and grouping options Right clicking on any column titles heading will display an additional menu: 1. Sort data in ascending order User Interface (Windows Edition) - 31
32 2. Sort data in descending order 3. Clear any sorting 4. To group data by the selected column 5. Hide the top group box 6. Split the screen using a divider. This is useful to keep a static view of a long list while scrolling data above or below the fixed data 7. Remove the column from the view. This can be recalled at anytime using the column chooser too 8. Column chooser (see above) 9. Best fit 10. Best fit (all columns) 11. The Filter Editor is a toll that will enable advances options to be set manually 12. Show Find Panel will open a dialog box where text can be typed and searched 13. 34 How do I Access the Dashboard Screen The Dashboard screen displays an overview of the selected days ahead: The information displayed includes: System announcements Overdrawn accounts Credit card payments Due and Overdue work orders Upcoming cleans Guest arrivals Guest departures Click the Dashboard icon located at the top of the screen to view the dashboard screen User Interface (Windows Edition) - 34

38 Customizing the Dashboard Layout The dashboard screen data and layouts can be customized and layouts can be saved and recalled To Access the Dashboard Layout Screen 1. If saved layouts are available, they can be selected from the drop down list 2. Create and save custom dashboard layouts, when saved they can be recalled from the presets list 3.
