2 Product [ ] KCS New fabrics 2017 We have prepared for the new fabrics in Configura and they will be available from 1 st of May when they will be opened in all our systems. The fabrics will be without texture but with a RGB value so that the right colour will be shown. In this version, however, we have opened up the possibility to choose the fabric Fenice as addition to the discontinued fabric Blazer on following products: Prim (New default fabric for Prim is from now Fenice 8090 light grey) Space Add-on back BAFA Fenice will be available in all fabric browsers, but if you choose that fabric on another product it will be stopped for both order and quotation. 2

3 [ ] Series[e] One The placement of the beams of the remaining corner tables have been changed and now they are also updated in Configura. E.g.: O1212D is no longer available with front panels and the placement of cable trays and CPU holders might need to be adjusted. 3

4 [ ] Oberon New additional tops for placement on the 600mm / short side of a corner table, the tops are screwed under the table top unlike the existing ones that has a beam bracket. OBAT60F Dark grey OBAT63F Oak, Birch, Beech, Laminate oak, Laminate white, Laminate light grey, Laminate beech, Laminate birch. The same icon as before is used but there will be different articles depending of where the additional top is placed. 1 = OBAT63 with beam bracket 2 = OBAT63F with bracket for table top (New) We have also updated the 2D so that you can see what kind of brackets that will be delivered. 4

5 [ ] T80PGR Cable port T80PGR is now available as an accessory for almost all tables. [ ] Cable duct Floor Almost all accessory browsers have been updated with the new cable duct for floor. The duct is in anodized aluminum and is available in two variants: FCD200 Straight 2000mm FCDA90 90 If you want to add tape to attach the duct to the floor, you choose that in the accessory browser before you add the duct to the drawing. The choice of the tape is visible on each duct with the article code FCDT. The tape will be delivered separately. If you connect two or more ducts to each other, the article FCDJ (Floor Cable Duct Joint) will be added automatically. 5

6 [ ] Origo Origo has been updated with its own wooden option, with default High pressure laminate birch. The default option for legs have also been changed from adjustable leg B mm to legs with fixed height FB Fixed height 724mm. New option for legs is: Top/Frame (No legs(uben)) [ ] Space Various adjustments 4P & 5P high cabinets are no longer possible to use as extension modules. SAFU Rules of where to place a SAFU is adjusted. 1P-2P high cabinets with an insert or front with divider. SPOC Now it is possible to Specify lock manually even for the SPOC cabinets and the placement of the lock will be visible. 6

7 Functions [ ] A must before and after the installation of Configura version v173 Below it s possible to find a couple of more or less important good to know points who all Configura users need to be aware of before running the update (= before starting the LiveUpdate patch). Version 173 of Configura includes a major technical change, a technical description is that Configura goes from being a 32-bit application to a 64-bit. Practically it means that version 173 does not work on older computers/operating systems based on the so-called 32-bit technology. In the current version (v172) have a warning dialogue on regular intervals been shown for users who have this situation (= if you have not seen such a dialogue this is nothing you need to care about). The update to v173 is significantly larger than a normal one, 6-7 times larger. It means that it will take longer time to download it compared with a normal update. We recommend to start this update when it isn t any panic to have Configura to be up and running. If your office have a less good internet connection it also an advantage if not all users start the update at the same time. When the update starts the installation file is downloaded to the local computer. The next step is that the installation starts and this dialogue is shown (with three rolling dots) With a normal LiveUpdate Configura will always start automatically after the update is finished. This time it could happen that the program does not start and if so start Configura manually 5-10 minutes after the dialogue above have disappeared. All Configura shortcuts which have been manually created have to be redone after the update to v173. The shortcuts (start possibilities) which are connected to the installation of Configura will work. In other words, the shortcut on the desktop and the one in the program menu will work 7

8 but shortcuts in the so-called taskbar and under recently used program will unfortunately not work after the update. Below are some examples of non-functional shortcuts marked When a non-functional shortcut is selected, a dialogue like the one below is shown (and if button <Yes> is selected Windows will remove this shortcut) There is a great risk that the new version of Configura will cause firewalls, and perhaps used antivirus program, to ask for permission for Configura to communicate with the outside world and if so it have to be allowed to maintain full functionality. Depending on which firewall and so on it will look in different ways, below is one example (there button <Allow access> have to be selected). Depending on how the IT-environment is configured so-called administrator rights may be needed to approve this communication, if so you must talk to the ones responsible for your IT-environment. 8

9 A small numbers of users do still use the old so-called hardware lock (the key, the dongle, the HASP are other words for the same thing) instead of the license server which Configura (the company) did switch to for a couple of years ago. The possibility to use a key/dongle is unfortunately discontinued in the new version of Configura! All users who still use the key/dongle should have been connected but if anyone have questions around this change it of course just to contact Kinnarps Configura team. Finally, when the installation of Configura version 173 is ready the computer must be restated to get Configura and particularly the LiveUpdate function to continue to be fully functional. For users in the so-called Citrix environment (the Kinnarps TCS concept) it means that Log off should be selected at an appropriate time (to avoid too high workload for the Citrix-servers should not all Configura users at the office do this at the same time). 9
