Note: CRM Right is an add-on application that is automatically installed with TMW Operations. It is a customer and carrier management system used by customer and carrier representatives to track calls and appointments. Although the two applications are installed at the same time, CRM Right is available for use only if you have purchased the license for it. 2 Note: To upgrade to V.17.50, you must follow these steps. 1. Notify your TMW Support team that you will upgrade. (As noted in Step 4, they will need to work with you to complete the installation process.) 2. Verify that your environment adheres to these minimum technical requirements: Microsoft s.net Framework version must be installed TMW recommends testing the Microsoft.Net Framework upgrade in a test environment prior to upgrading in any production environments. Use this link to Microsoft's site for instructions on how to determine the.net Framework version that you have installed. Client operating systems must be at Windows 7 SP1 or higher. Server operating systems must be at Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 or higher. 3. Run the installation program. 4. Before any users attempt to use, call your Support representative to have them update your Planning Worksheet boards. Note: TMW has added columns to the system default Planning Worksheet views to enhance the inline editing feature. These columns also must be added to all custom views. Support will perform this step for you at no cost. Additional note: Starting with V.17.50, the system treats all passwords as case sensitive. This includes existing passwords. This change affects how you log in with an existing password: If your password was created with CaseSensitivePasswords=OFF in your TTS50, you must enter that password in all upper case characters. If your password was created with CaseSensitivePasswords=ON in your TTS50, you can enter that password as you originally recorded it (case sensitive). Installation guide 2 Revised: 8/2017

3 General requirements Before you begin installing version 17.50, check that these requirements are met: TMWSuite You must be using TMWSuite V _ or later. TMW Back Office If you are using TMW Back Office, TMW strongly recommends that your version of TMW Operations is the same as your version of TMW Back Office. Any other combination may produce different rating results in and TMW Back Office. Microsoft.NET Framework Install or upgrade to the latest version of the Microsoft.NET Framework (full package not client) on your system. The framework must be installed on the server, client, and administrator systems before you install. If it is not present, the system displays an advisory message during the installation. Install the framework before running the application. Internet Information Services (IIS) for Microsoft Windows Server IIS Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 or later Microsoft SQL Server Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 or later You must be logged into the system where you want to install, and have administrator rights for that system. Like most applications, can be installed locally on a user's system. It is also possible to install on a network drive. To do so, you must be logged into the system where the drive is physically located, and have administrator rights for that system. SQL Server System Administrator rights are necessary. The installation of includes the manual application of a SQL script to the TMWSuite database. You must have a SQL Server administrator login and password to apply it. 5 Downloading the application files Download the installation files from the Build Delivery section of TMW ClientCenter ( The.msi file that you download will contain all the folders, application files, and SQL files necessary to install and set up both the and CRM Right applications. In ClientCenter, use the Line of Business, Product, and Build lists to select the build that you want to download. The download name for the build is Front Office. Click View Details to go to the Software Delivery Files page and download the installation file. When prompted to run or save the installation file, save it to your desktop or Downloads folder. 6 Installing or upgrading the application After you download the installation files, you can begin installing or upgrading the application on your machine. Note: If you are upgrading and want to create an archive of the existing version, copy the folder containing that version's executable files, then download the new version to the default location. If you download the new version to the default location without making a copy of the original version, the new files will overwrite the existing files. To install on your computer, follow these steps: 1. Locate the installation.zip file you downloaded and saved on your desktop or Downloads folder. 2. Double-click the.msi file contained in the.zip file. The Welcome to the Setup Wizard window opens. Installation guide 6 Revised: 8/2017

7 3. Click Next. The Select Installation Folder dialog box opens. 4. Do one of the following: To accept the installation folder, click Next. To change the installation folder, click Browse. 1) In the Browse for Folder dialog box, locate the appropriate folder. 2) Click OK. 5. Select one of the following radio buttons: Everyone If other users will be accessing the application from this computer. 9 Creating a shortcut for the application You can always launch the application from Windows Start menu by selecting Start > All Apps > TMW Systems, Inc >. However, you may want to add a shortcut to the application on your desktop. The application executable can be found in the folder. 10 Applying SQL to modify your database for requires that certain fields exist in your TMWSuite database. To ensure that your database is properly modified, you must apply the TMWOperationsDBMods.SQL file. This file is provided as part of the installation package. When you ran the Setup.msi, all necessary files were saved to your system. If you accepted the default path in the Select Installation Folder dialog box and you use Windows XP, the file will be in the C:\Program Files\TMW Systems, Inc\\SQL folder. If you use Windows 7, the default location is C:\Program Files (x86)\tmw Systems, Inc\ \SQL. 1. Use Windows Explorer to access the folder and double-click the TMWOperationsDBMods.SQL file. Note: If you installed to another folder location, look for the SQL folder there. 2. Apply the SQL to your TMWSuite database. Note: If necessary, consult your Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio or SQL Server Enterprise Manger help system for instructions. 11 Granting users access to TMW Operations Before a user can log on to an application, you must grant them access to it in the System Administration application. You can do this on a user-by-user basis, or for multiple users, using the Applications section of the User Maintenance screen. For, you must select from the list of applications. For CRM Right, you must select TMW CRM Right. If you are using and you have purchased the CRM Right license, the way you grant rights is determined by these conditions: If a user will be using CRM Right from within, just grant rights to. Those rights will allow the user to run the executable. The CRM Right license will allow the user to run CRM from within Operations via the Operations > TMW CRM Right menu command. If a CRM Right user is not authorized to run, you must grant rights to CRM Right. This will enable them to run the CRM Right executable. For detailed instructions on assigning rights to users, see the "Granting access to TMWSuite applications" chapter in the System Administration guide. Note: If a user tries to log on to an application without the proper authority, the system will display the message: "Sorry, You are not registered for this application." The system will not allow a user to log in to an application until the user is registered for that application. The system administrator must grant authority in the user s profile in the System Administration application. Installation guide 11 Revised: 8/2017

12 Verifying the license is applied to your database Special licensing is required to run. The licensing is contained in a SQL script that is applied to your TMWSuite database using SQL Server Enterprise Manager's SQL Query Analyzer or SQL Server Management Studio. Notes: For instructions on applying the SQL to your database, refer to your Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio or SQL Server Enterprise Manger help system. If you need further assistance, contact your TMW Support representative. To verify that the licensing has been properly applied to your database, follow these steps: 1. From any TMWSuite application, select Help > About. 2. Click the More button located at the bottom of the window. 3. The system displays a second About window containing licensing information. The licensing window provides a table containing three columns: Option Name Lists the applications and features available in TMWSuite. Option Value Signifies whether the application/feature is active. Option Expiration Lists the date that the subscription to a feature will expire. Installation guide 12 Revised: 8/2017

13 Scroll through the list to find the license: Notes: 1. The list is alphabetical. 2. If the required license is not listed, or if the Value field displays N, contact your Support Team. 14 Uninstalling To uninstall, run the same.msi file that you used to install the current version. The file will detect the installed version and provide an option for removing the software. Notes: 1. The.msi file must have the same version and build level as the one used to install. If you do not have the correct file, you can use the Control Panel to uninstall. 2. You do not need to uninstall an old version of to install a new one. 3. If you have installed multiple versions of and have archived the older versions, you must delete each instance of in order to completely remove it from your machine. To uninstall : 1. 15 2. Select the Remove radio button, then click Finish. The Removing window opens, and the progress indicator bar cycles.
