Un Check any additional offers as these will clutter up your computer. Un Check this box to exclude Optional Offers! Click on Install Now. NOTE: The next screens may vary based on your computer s operating system and which version of the web browser you are using. Adobe is trying to send you an Executable that they want you to RUN. This Executable may be saved to your default downloads folder or it may prompt you where you want to save this. Open your downloads folder and Run this executable. If it asks you if you Trust this Publisher (Adobe) Click Yes. Click Chrome control settings and select Downloads. A list of your recent downloads is displayed in a new browser tab. Click the fresh Adobe executable and a security prompt is displayed. Click on Run. The Adobe Installer will run putting this application on your computer. CHROME Pop Ups Blocking our Illustration Out of the box, Chrome is set up to block all Pop Ups. This Chrome icon indicates that a Pop Up has been blocked. To allow Pop Ups from our website, simply Click on this Pop up Blocked icon to display the options. Select the option Always allow pop ups from then Click the Done button. CHROME PDF Viewer Issues with our Illustration Out of the box, Chrome is set up to use its own PDF Viewer. This viewer is fine for static PDF s but it will have trouble with Adobe PDFs with dynamic scripts. Gateway PDF smart Illustrations will NOT work with this simple viewer! To show this, from our login page click the Privacy Notice link. A PDF in a new Chrome tab tells me that Chrome s PDF Viewer is being used. NOTE that our simple PRIVACY NOTICE is displayed in a new Chrome tab. This static PDF is presented to you using Chrome s PDF Viewer. Click and close this tab. When you try to do an Illustration using Chrome s PDF Viewer It clearly tried but could not render the dynamic Adobe scripts. Click and close this tab. We will need to disable Chrome s viewer, and let your computer s default handler for pdf take over. FCSLA PRODUCER GATEWAY Specific Help for Chrome Browser 2015 Page 6
The Chrome PDF Viewer is a Plugin that you need to disable. To get to the Plugin settings you need to click a new tab, then enter chrome://plugins in the address box. Press enter to go to this internal settings page. HINT: Click this half tab to open a new web page. This is telling me that the Viewer is Enabled. The only option is to Disable it. Click Disable. This is telling me that the Viewer is Disabled. The only option is to Enable it. This is what we want so close this tab. We have now disabled the simple Chrome Viewer. With the PDF Viewer disabled, I now command an Illustration and I see that it downloads the PDF with a dummy file name of fff. This is displayed in the lower left of the window. If you want the illustration PDF to automatically open in Adobe, Click on the PDF s down arrow to display an option menu. Choose Always open in Adobe Reader. Command the Illustration again and the Illustration is now displayed in your Adobe program! NOTE that each Illustrate command will spawn a new reader, so you will need to close each one when done. ADOBE READER Common Commands This toolbar will allow you to: Print, Turn Pages, and Zoom in/out Save a good PDF illustration to your computer using a meaningful name. When saving from Adobe Reader, you may get this warning that this document is not editable and you can only save copy of this PDF. Click OK. See Below: I am saving my client s latest Illustration into a folder that I have already created for this work. I have a folder named FPMSWORK and the fff(13).pdf is now BobbyBrooks20151217.pdf. EMAILING A SAVED ILLUSTRATION Important Note For demonstation purposes, I will use the Firefox web browser to open a web based email server. Basically: Open a webpage, Logon to your server, create a New email, Browse and select our saved PDF, Attach pdf, and Send email. IMPORTANT NOTE:. I am using a Firefox web browser. The Attach icon on a Microsoft website uses a Silverlight plug in that is no longer supported by Chrome! If nothing happens when you click Attach on your server, then do not use Chrome.
