Overview Congratulations on your purchase of a SanDisk Sansa player with Rhapsody Channels! Rhapsody Channels is a feature that is enabled when your Sansa player is connected and authorized by Rhapsody. This feature provides enhancements for the Rhapsody To Go music service. Rhapsody Channels requires subscription to a Rhapsody To Go music account. Rhapsody Channels refresh with new music when the Sansa player is connected. The individual tracks will not appear as part of your Library. You can rate tracks as they play, add ones you like to your device Library and to the GoList. You can even band tracks you don t want to hear again. You can also mark tracks to be added to your Purchase Bin the next time you connect to Rhapsody To Go. Your ratings and purchases will transfer to your Rhapsody account when you connect your Sansa Clip player to the computer and sign in. 2 This chapter shows you how to enable the Rhapsody Channels, load your Rhapsody Channels on to your Sansa player, as well as disabling this feature altogether. Functions Enabling Rhapsody Channels To enable the Rhapsody Channels feature, follow these steps: 1. Connect your Sansa player to your computer using a USB cable 2. Choose Manage the device using Rhapsody on initial connection Note: This option only available if the Rhapsody software is installed on your computer. 3. 4. Select Authorize Adding Rhapsody Channels to my Sansa Player To add your Rhapsody Channels onto the Sansa player, follow these steps: 1. Connect your Sansa player to your computer using a USB cable 2. Choose Manage the device using Rhapsody on initial connection 3. Sign in to your Rhapsody account 4. Click Rhapsody Music Guide from the Sources pane on the left 5. Click on the Channel Guide tab 6. Click on the + icon to add to My Channels 7. Click My Channels from Sources on the left pane 8. Drag and drop your desired channels to the Sansa player Disabling Rhapsody Channels To disable the Rhapsody Channels features, simply reformat your Sansa player. There are two ways to reformat your Sansa player: directly from the Sansa player or using Windows Explorer. Functions 6

Select Settings from the Main Menu For the Sansa View Player, select More from the Main Menu then select Settings / Options System Settings 2. Scroll down to Format and select it 3. Select Yes to confirm or No to cancel To reformat the Sansa player using Windows Explorer, follow these steps: 1. Connect the Sansa player to your computer 2. Select Open device to view files using Windows Explorer on initial connection 3. Right-click on Internal Memory 4. Select Format 5. Click Yes to start format or No to cancel Functions 7

When you reconnect, the 30 day license is renewed. The indicator will change from full circle to a quarter cycle as the days pass, and you will be warned when your tracks are about to expire. The following pop-up message will appear during power on: Rate This Song 1. In playback mode, press Submenu 2. Select Rate This Song 3. Press << or >> to change the rating (Negative to 5 Stars) 4. Select Negative to ban this track from playing again Usage 8
Purchase 1. In playback mode, press Submenu 2. Select Purchase This Song 3. When you connect the player to Rhapsody To Go, the track will be added to your Purchase Bin. You can decide if you would like to purchase it at your leisure. Add To Library 1. In playback mode, press Submenu 2. Select Add Track to Library 3. A confirmation message, Song has been added to your Library. Your song will now be a part of your device Library. Artist Info To display the artist information, press the center button 2 times when the song is playing back. Account Info 1. Select Settings from the Main Menu 2. Select Account Info 3. With Rhapsody To Go, you can take any of those songs with you on your Sansa player. How do I remove Rhapsody Channels from my Sansa Player? To remove Rhapsody Channels from your Sansa player, simple re-format your device. Remember to backup your important data! How do I format my Sansa Player? Rhapsody Software allows you to manage all your digital music in one place, and transfer tracks to your MP3 player when used with a Rhapsody To Go membership. Rhapsody Software is currently available only for PC. Rhapsody Online allows you to access music through your Web browser even if you're not a Rhapsody member.
