Activation and Configuration of the ipad Please follow the instructions closely in this document to configure your ipad. Please make sure that your ipad has a fully charged battery or you have access to a power source before beginning these steps. Your ipad has been configured for Wireless Cellular access. You will notice the Cellular notification in the upper left corner of your ipad. It will show bars of service as well as the name of the carrier (Verizon, Sprint or AT&T). This cellular service will be used for access to the internet for the steps below. Make sure you have a good internet connection at least 2-3 bars before beginning these activation processes. If you are a new employee and have not changed your network password you must change it prior to enrolling your device. To change your password please follow the steps below: Page 4 of 20
Tap the Safari browser icon on the ipad (not shown). Changing your Password 1. A. Type in mymail.gentiva.com in the address field. B. Tap on Login. Login with your User Name and temporary password (this is the password that was emailed to your manager). 2. 3. A. Type User Name & Old Password (Temporary Password). B. Type New Password & Confirm Password. The new password must be a minimum of 8 characters and have a Capital letter and Number included. C. Tap Submit. Once completed the following pop up will appear. Important Password Information Please read the information below on Passwords BEFORE BEGINNING THE ACTIVATION PROCESSES. Passwords You will have 3 Passwords that you will need to remember when using the ipad. The set up and use of these passwords will be contained in these activation instructions. Please make sure you are writing these passwords down in order to remember them during the enrollment process. IDs and Passwords you should know BEFORE beginning this process: Network ID: This is the ID that you use to log into any Gentiva computer, email and My World. It can either be your first initial, middle initial and the first six of your last name or your Gentiva ID which is the first initial of your first and last name, then the last four digits of your SSN and then your birth date in the form MMDD, such as JS67890214. Exchange/Network Password: This is the password that you use to log onto your Gentiva computer, email or MyWorld. This password will be needed for activation. IF YOU DO NOT KNOW YOUR EMAIL/NETWORK PASSWORD. STOP HERE. Go to this link and reset or re-enable your email/network password before going any further. This can be done from ANY computer. Link is: https://myaccess.gentiva.com IDs and Passwords you will setup during the process and need to remember: Passcode: This is passcode you will use to log onto the ipad. We recommend that you set up your passcode to match the password you use to log into MyWorld. The ipad will lock after 15 minutes of inactivity and you will be required to enter this passcode to log back in. It does require a special character. Apple ID and Password: This is the password needed to use to download applications from the Apple App Store on your ipad. You will be required to create a new Apple ID during your enrollment using your Gentiva email address. The password needs to be set up as Password + the last 4 digits of your SSN. Before you begin: Please follow the instructions closely in this document to configure your ipad. Please make sure that the device has a fully charged battery or you have access to a power source before beginning these steps. Important: NEVER add an icloud account to the ipad. This will complicate the enrollment process if the ipad is transferred to another employee. Page 7 of 20
Setting up an Apple ID Tap the App Store icon 1. Tap Search Store in the upper right hand corner. 2. 3. A. In the Search area type in MobileIron. B. Tap on MobileIron Mobile@work client. Tap Get 4. Page 8 of 20
Tap Install 5. 6. The Apple Sign in Screen will appear. Tap on Create New Apple ID. You will need to create an apple ID using your Gentiva email address as the ID. Do not use a personal Apple ID. The New Account Screen will appear with United States selected, tap Next. 7. On the next screen you will be asked to agree to the Terms and Conditions. Scroll to the bottom and tap Agree. 8. Tap Agree. 9. A. Fill in an email for your Apple ID and Create a Password. This needs to be your Gentiva email address. Please set up the password as Password + the last 4 digits of your SSN. If you have consecutive numbers in the last 4 you will need to use the first 5 of SSN. This will help you remember the password and ID in the future. 10. B. Create your Security questions. You MUST answer all 3 and cannot use the same answer for all 3 questions. C. Rescue Email is optional, you would need this if you forgot your password and you want a new password emailed to that address. (Not Shown). D. Enter your Date of Birth (Not Shown). E. Turn off the options for Subscribe to emails (Not Shown). F. Tap Next (Not Shown). Page 10 of 20
A. Under Billing Information, None is preselected. B. Enter Billing address (All Fields). Use your Gentiva Branch address and phone number (This is not completely shown, but required). C. Tap Next (Not Shown). 11. You will be required to Verify your Account. Tap Done. 12. You many see a pop up to enter your Apple ID Password, tap cancel in this box. Page 11 of 20
Verifying your Account (not shown) A. To verify your account press the Home button. B. Tap the Safari icon. C. Type mymail.gentiva.com in the address field and log in. Log in is your username and password you use to access your computer, email or MyWorld. 13. D. Retrieve the email from Apple and Tap Verify Now in the email. E. Enter your Apple ID and Password. The Apple ID will be your Gentiva email address. And the password will be Password + the last 4 digits or first 5 digits of your SSN. Tap Verify Address. F. You will receive a message that the Email address has been verified. Page 12 of 20
Installing MobileIron Client Go back to the Home Screen (press home button) and tap on the App Store. 1. Tap Get 2. Tap Install 3. Page 13 of 20
You will be required to enter your Apple ID. Tap Use Existing Apple ID 4. In some cases you may be prompted to enter itune Store password instead, this is your Apple ID password. Enter your Apple Username and Password. Tap OK. MobileIron will begin installing. After it is done installing, tap Open. Or you can tap on the MobileIron icon. 5. You will receive a pop up MobileIron Would Like to Send You Push Notifications. Tap OK. 6. 7. Type in your Gentiva UserID, (This is the ID that you use to log into a computer or MyWorld). Tap Next/Enter. Page 14 of 20
8. Type in the server: mi5.kindredhealthcare.com, tap Next/Enter. Type in your Gentiva Password, tap Go/Enter. 9. 10. MobileIron will open and ask Allow MobileIron to access your location even when you are not using the app? Tap Allow. An Updating Configuration screen will appear, tap OK. 11. On the Install Profile screen, Tap Install. 12. Tap Install. 13. Page 15 of 20
Tap Install. 14. Tap Trust. 15. The Profile Installed screen will appear, tape Done. MobileIron Registration is complete. Safari may be open, Press the Home button to get back to your icons. 16. You may see the following pop up, tap Not Now. 17. Page 16 of 20
Password Requirements Initial Device Password (Passcode) Setup The Passcode will need to be 6 characters or more with letters/numbers and at least one character. You cannot use a passcode that has been used the previous 8 times. The Passcode will lock after 5 invalid attempts. After the 5th attempt the device will disable for 1 minute. If you attempt again after the device is enabled, and it is the incorrect passcode the device will disable for 5 minutes. If you attempt again after 5 minutes, and it is incorrect again it will disable for 15 minutes. If you attempt 10 times unsuccessfully it will wipe the device completely. All information will be removed. If you need to reset your passcode, please contact the Help Desk at 800-944-4357 and have them clear your passcode. You device will then pop up a box to enter a new password. The Passcode will expire every 90 days. Password (Passcode) Setup 1. Press the Home Button. The Passcode Requirement box should flash on your screen. Click Continue. You will be asked to enter a Passcode. Click Continue. 2. Re-enter the Passcode. Click on Save. 3. Page 17 of 20
On your home screen, tap the Mail icon. (not shown). A. The Password Required box will appear and will ask for your password for the Exchange account this is your Username (This is your Gentiva Network Account that you log into your Gentiva computer, MyWorld or Email. 4. B. Tap OK. C. Tap Inbox on the top left of the screen. Your mailbox will begin to synch this can take a few minutes (not shown). Your Device is configured with your Gentiva Email, Calendar and Contacts. It may take time for your email box and calendar to synch with your device. This depends on the size of your email box. MobileIron has installed the following application and services MobileIron (Mobile Device Management application) Kindred Apps (MobileIron app store for featured apps) GentivaLink Webclip Help Webclip (help.gentiva.com) Gentiva Guest wireless account (GHSGuest) so you can access Wi-Fi while in some selected Gentiva branch and corporate offices that have wireless enabled Kindred Enterprise wireless account (kindred-enterprise) so you can access Wi-Fi while in some selected Kindred branch and corporate offices that have wireless enabled Secure Data wipe capabilities in the event your device is lost or stolen, Gentiva data such as email, contacts and calendar data can be remotely wiped from the device. To keep the data on your device safe, your ipad device now has a sign-on passcode and you will be required to enter this passcode when you turn the device on or after 15 minutes of idle time. Your device passcode will lock after 5 unsuccessful attempts. You will be required to wait 1 minute before attempting re-entry of your passcode the first time, 5 minutes the second and 15 minutes the third. A fourth attempt will lock you out for 60 minutes. You can call the Help Desk to have your passcode cleared and you will then be required to enter a new passcode. Page 18 of 20
Best Practices for your ipad Best Practices & Fine Print Remember, you are responsible for the care and well keeping of this device. It is assigned to you as an asset of the company. Use your very best judgment in its care and upkeep. Please keep your device protected at all times by keeping it in a case. Do use the device near any water source. Keep away from pets. You are the only authorized user of this device! It is against company policy to have non-gentiva employee use this device at any time. Keep the device in the case at all times. Remember the screen is made of glass and will break/crack if stepped on or dropped. Do not leave your device in the car. If you must leave the device in your car unattended, put the device in the trunk as to not be visible. Keep in mind, extreme temperatures WILL impact the operation and life cycle of the device. If the device is lost or stolen, please call the Gentiva Help desk immediately at 1-800-944-4357 so we can disable your device. Your device is encrypted and we have the ability to remotely remove Gentiva data off the device to prevent the theft of any data. Downloading Applications This is a business device, owned by Gentiva. Do not download non-business related applications from the App store unless directed to by TSG or upper management. TSG can track the applications installed on your device. If you download applications that have a fee, it will be charged to the credit card on record when you set up your Apple ID. Gentiva will not reimburse for any downloaded application. Page 19 of 20
Customization of email After you have completed your enrollment, you may want to go into Settings and customize your device and email settings. A. Go to Settings and tap Mail, Contacts, Calendars. B. Tap Signature. C. Type a salutation that will go out on the bottom of all the emails sent from your ipad. Use the format found in the templates contained in Outlook. Tap Done. Page 20 of 20
