Controlling the DART-SVP from your PC The DART-SVP controller runs a web server that you can connect to using an Ethernet cable and view inside a web browser. There is no software to install and it works on any modern operating system. Setting up Network Connections: In order to communicate with the DART-SVP, your computer needs to have a static IP address. Please follow the instructions in the SVP Network installation manual. DART Software Overview The DART software has three main pages for controlling the DART source and automation. Go to the page by clicking on its name or icon. Note: You can navigate the entire user interface using only the keyboard. Press the tab key to cycle between interactive areas. Press enter to activate the selected choice. Accessing the DART-SVP in your web browser: Once your network connections are set up, power on your DART-SVP. The Ethernet connection that it is connected to should become active. Open your PCs web browser. We strongly recommend using the latest version of firefox. Navigate to this address: http://192.168.10.111 You should see a page that looks like the one below: Methods Free Run Automated control to run multiple samples and reproduce results. Troubleshooting PC - Unable to Connect ipod - Unable to Connect 1. Look for the Wi-Fi icon at the top of the screen. If the symbol is not present, you need to ensure that your ipod's Wi-Fi radio is on and that the D-Link wireless access point on your DART-SVP is connected and powered on. If the symbol is present, be sure that you are not connected to a different wireless network. Your wireless network's SSID is printed on the back of the D-Link access point. It starts with DART. 2. Check your wireless setting If you get this message in your web browser when trying to access the DART, it means that the controller is not properly connected or your network settings are not correct. Please check the Network Installation Manual. 21 22
3. Tap Wi-Fi to check the settings. 5. Confirm IP Address Settings Wi-Fi Network Confirm Settings Switch should be ON. DART### should be selected with a check mark.
