10. Extend the Wireless coverage Connection by the wireless signal is easy, however, when there are obstacles the signal is weak. Some methods can be applied to extend the coverage of the wireless signal. 10.1 Correctly position the antennas The antenna of the NVR is at the center of the coverage of the wireless signal, and should be placed upwards, vertically. If not, the signal would be weak. Correct Incorrect 10.2 Use the antenna extension cable Antenna Extension Cord IP Camera NVR Window Wall Notes: When the wireless signal is not strong enough, you can remove the original antenna and install the antenna extension cable. Drill a hole in the wall to let the extension cord go through. 10.3 Connection in cascade to transfer the wireless signal Notes: 1. The repeater function can not consolidate the wireless signal, but it can extend the distance to transfer the signals. 2. The distance will be extended only when the repeater camera and the repeated camera are placed properly. 3. The repeater function and the 3 meter antenna extension cable are two methods to extend the wireless signal range. Users can choose one according to the real situation. 14

FAQ Q: How is the NVR system updated? A: 1. Contact technical support: support@logan-cam.com for the new firmware. Download the new firmware to the USB. 2. Right-click on the Main Menu> General Settings> administration> Update> USB storage> Start. 3. When the system asks you to insert the USB, remove the mouse DVR, and insert the USB (containing the downloaded firmware) to the DVR and restart it. It takes a few minutes for the update. Notes: 1. Do not unplug the NVR during the update process, otherwise the update will fail. 2. If the update has failed, use another USB device to try again, because the new firmware does not work with some types of USB. 3. If the update fails due to the incorrect operation, follow the steps below to restore the system: Check the update file and copy it to the root category of the USB disk. Next, insert the USB disk into the NVR and turn on the NVR. You will hear the sound "Dee", and wait about three minutes. Afterwards, the system will recover and restart automatically. 17
