3.0 Add DropThought as a tool in your course LMS page (Instructor Role) Global level LTI integration can be done by the Administrator. This makes the DropThought LTI tool available for adding to courses at the instructor level. The instructors need to add DropThought for each instance they would like it used within their courses. LTI can not be added within the assignment or inside the assignment, it only can be added as a stand alone assignment. Hence if and instructor has an assignment called Activity 1 and the instructor would like DropThought Feedback on that assignment, he/she will need to add a new stand alone assignment called Activity 1 Feedback or Activity 1 Reflection and add DropThought to it as an external LTI tool. 1. Login as a Admin/Teacher 2. Go to Home > Courses > (Course Name) and click the Turn editing on button from the right top corner 3. Click on the Add an activity or resource link. 3 of 5

Note: After adding DropThought, the instructor will not see the DropThought Instant Feedback Widget. In the Widget s place is a congratulations message to let the instructor know that the widget was added successfully. The instructor would have to login as a student or view the page in student view in order to view the Widget on the feedback page. 4.0 Troubleshooting (Two Welcome Letter Emails for the Same Course) 1. In case the LMS instructor email was different than DropThought Sign up instructor email during the sign up process. a. Background on why two welcome letter emails appear i. A DropThought Dashboard is automatically created for every unique pairing of instructor email address and school name, whether that pairing is submitted to DropThought through a DropThought Signup Page or pulled from the LMS when DropThought is used as an external tool feedback assignment in your class. So, if a different instructor email address is used in the DropThought signup sheet than the instructor email address listed for the class in the LMS (even though it was intended that, different dashboards would be created for each unique pairing. b. Which welcome letter has the right credentials? i. If this occurs use, credentials listed in the welcome letter sent after your first DropThought assignment is created rather than the original one sent after the signup sheet. c. My new correct DropThought dashboard doesn't have the mobile app feedback channel, how do I add it? i. Return to the signup sheet ii. Enter in the same class sign up info as before, except this time use same email address by which you are registered as the instructor in your LMS. iii. If you are unsure which email address that is, check the email header on your second welcome letter email from DropThought (after you created a feedback assignment in the LMS). iv. You will receive a thrid welcome letter after filling out the signup page again. As long as you use the same instructor email address as in the LMS, Dropthought will add the mobile app feedback channel to the correct DropThought Dashboard for your class. 5 of 5
