Partnership Evaluation AUTOSAR, as a global development cooperation, is committed to: Enabling a successful collaboration of partners Delivering high quality products Considering market needs of AUTOSAR partners supported by processes and technical infrastructure In an effort to continuously improve this collaboration platform, AUTOSAR s Core, Premium and Development Partners were asked to provide feedback and expectations with respect to: Processes, infrastructure, and project planning Applicability and maturity of products The evaluation asked for the feedback in three sections: AUTOSAR as an Organization, a Project and a Product The key results and actions out of the Partnership Evaluation will be presented in the next slides 13 October 22, 2014

Key results and next steps Concept handling process works well, but can be improved, concerning: Performance and planning Complexity of concept handling Organizational and other issues Workshops with all stakeholders has been organized to refine the feedback, discuss possible measures, and prepare proposals for improvement Transparency of AUTOSAR processes, tool changes and decisions of the AUTOSAR PL/SC Team should be improved Provide regular information for WPs with relevant decisions and information from PL/SC Team Introduce a Wiki with relevant information for newcomers and consolidated information about the infrastructure (e.g. tool usage guidelines) Setting up guidelines / criteria how to solve RFCs in a backward compatible way Improve documentation of CCB decisions 15 October 22, 2014
Key results and next steps Existing IT infrastructure Filtering and personalization of communication should be improved User guidelines should be provided Information about the IT infrastructure will be captured in the Wiki with i.e. Typical filter settings for Bugzilla User guidelines for newcomers SVN folder structure and links to important documents Extensions to IT infrastructure Evaluation to introduce a state-of-the-art requirements engineering framework to replace WORD-based development of specifications and to support e.g. change documentation and traceability 16 October 22, 2014
Schedule of Releases Summary of received feedback Usage of Releases 3.1 and 3.2 is decreasing A high percentage of partners already use Release 4.0.x Usage of Release 4.1.x and 4.2 is increasing Conclusions: Rel.3.1: Remains in issue notice phase at least until 2016 Rel.3.2: Moves from maintenance to issue notice phase end of July 2015 Rel.4.x: Remains in evolution phase at least until 2020 17 October 22, 2014
