Safety Notices CAUTION: Sprayer booms should be lowered to the ground on mechanical safety stops befe starting wk. Do not wk under sprayer booms suppted by hydraulic system only. Turn off machine and wait f all motion to stop befe starting wk. Set parking brake. CAUTION: Be sure to wear proper eye protection when using any power tools, such as when drilling any mounting holes. IMPORTANT: Check behind vehicle and implement panels f any holes, wiring controls that could be damaged when drilling any holes. IMPORTANT: Disconnect the Display, DirectCommand components and flow meter from electrical system when welding on equipment jump starting unit to prevent component damage due to power surges excessive current. IMPORTANT: If using a non Ag Leader GPS receiver, make sure to install a Null Modem Cable, included in the Display Kit, to prevent damage to the Display GPS receiver. IMPORTANT: Use Dielectric grease to coat the seals and terminals of each connect that will be exposed to weather chemicals as you plug them in. Turn on the previously installed rate control console, if equipped with one and copy down the boom section widths and flow meter calibration numbers. 2. Run the machine one last time to make sure all of the components are in wking der befe removing the rate control console. Verifying that all of the rate control components wk will help with any potential troubleshooting issues after the installation. 3. Turn off the rate control console, disconnect the cable from the back of the console and remove the console from the cab. Cut any zip ties holding the console cable in place and remove the cable from the cab. 4. Attach the monit-mounting bracket chosen from the list above to the back of the display. Align the four holes in the bracket with the four holes in the back of the display. Fasten the bracket to the display with four 6-mm Phillips Pan Head Screws and lock washers provided. Ag Leader INTEGRA Display with RAM Mount Monit Bracket installed 5. Mount the base bracket in a convenient place f operation, but out of the operat s line of sight while driving the machine. 6. Attach the display to the base bracket with the RAM Arm f RAM Mount Kits with the 5.5-inch carriage bolt and knob f plastic monit brackets. Installing the Auxiliary Input Module Step-by-Step instructions f installing the Auxiliary Input Module Parts required f procedure: From DirectCommand Kit (1) Auxiliary Input Module PN: 4000437 (1) Deutsch Dust Plug PN: 2002899-12N 1. Locate the existing Boom Speed Node in the Cab 2. Disconnect both cables from the Boom Speed Node, and remove the node from the Cab. 3. Mount the Auxiliary Input Module, PN: 4000437 within 8 inches of the cables previously connected to the Boom Speed Node. 4. Locate the cables previously connected to the Boom Speed Node, connect the gray and black plugs into the mating receptacles on the Auxiliary Input Module Adapter, PN: 4001590-1. 2. Connect the green receptacle on the Switch Input Cable, PN: 4001252 to the mating plug on the Auxiliary Input Module Adapter. 3. Plug the opposite end of the Switch Input Cable into the Auxiliary Input Module receptacle labeled SWITCH A. 4. Connect the 4-position Deutsch Plug on the Auxiliary Input Module Adapter to the receptacle on the Auxiliary Input Module labeled CAN BUS. NOTE: F machines using a GPS unit as a ground speed source, follow step 5. F machines using a Transmission Speed Sens as a Ground Speed source, follow steps 6-7. Steps 8-15 are f all machines. 5. On machines using a GPS unit f ground speed source only: Connect the 6-position Deutsch Plug on the Auxiliary Input Module Adapter to the receptacle on the Auxiliary Input Module labeled RADAR. 6. On machines using a transmission speed sens f a ground speed sourced only: Connect the receptacle of the GVM Transmission Speed Cable, PN: 4001672 to the 6-position plug on the Auxiliary Input Module Adapter. 7. Connect the 6-position plug on the GVM Transmission Speed Cable to the receptacle on the Auxiliary Input Module labeled RADAR. PN: 2005935 Rev. C December 2013 Page 7 of 8
8. Connect the round 28-pin connect on the Display Cable, PN: 4001608-12, to the connect on the back of the InSight EDGE Display, the connect labeled MAIN on the back of the Ag Leader INTEGRA display. 9. Route the opposite end of the Display Cable towards the Auxiliary Input Module. 10. Connect the Power Control Relay, PN: 4000708-1 to the square 4- pin Weatherpack Shroud on the Display Cable. 11. Locate the 2-position Weatherpack Tower on the GVM Cab Harness, and connect it to the 2-position Weatherpack Shroud on the Display Power Cable, PN: 4001588. 12. Connect the opposite end of the Power Cable to the 3-position Weatherpack Shroud on the Display Cable. 13. Locate the 4-position Deutsch Plug marked CAN 1 on the GVM Cab Harness, and connect it to the 4-position Deutsch receptacle on the Display CAN Bus Cable, PN: 4001587. 14. Connect the opposite end of the CAN Bus Cable to the mating CAN plug on the Display Cable. 15. Secure all cables with zip ties; avoiding pinch points and allowing extra slack where needed. NOTE: Power Cable PN: 4002093-14 will only be used when an Ag Leader Guidance system is installed, and must be connected directly to the battery other high current power terminals in the machine.
