Murray Bridge High School Connecting to the BYOD Network Mac OS X 10.7 10.9 Version 3 Amended 2/10/2014 Use of the Murray Bridge High School BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) facilities and network is subject to agreement to required user agreements and student completion of the Digital Licence Test. The first set of steps (installing the Apple Configuration Profile: steps 1-10) will need to be completed at home or on another network connection prior to connecting your laptop to the MBHS Wireless Network. 1. Open Safari from the Dock 2. Go to the Murray Bridge High School Web Portal https://portal.mbhs.sa.edu.au 3. Click on BYOD 4. Click the Apple wireless configuration file.
5. The Profiles System Preference will launch. Click on Continue 6. Click Continue again 7. In the login pop up box that appears enter your username and password that you normally use to access the school network and Click Install 8. Click Install if it asks to verify install. 9. When the next login pop up box appears enter your laptop s username and password (eg. the login you use when you first turn your laptop on). Click OK
10. When this screen appears you have successfully completed the updates required on your device. 11. When you arrive to school ensure that WiFi has connected by checking the icon at the top of your screen 12. Open Safari from the Dock 1. Go to the Murray Bridge High School Web Portal https://portal.mbhs.sa.edu.au 2. Click on BYOD
3. This login pop up box may appear twice. Enter your username and password that you normally use to access the school network and Click OK 4. Scroll down and click on Download Windows Citrix Receiver for Apple OSX 5. The software will begin downloading. 6. When the download is complete a screen similar to this will appear at the top right of your Safari Browser. 7. Double Click on CitrixReceiverWeb.dmg In the window that opens, Double Click on Install Citrix Receiver
8. Click Continue 9. Click Continue 10. Click Agree 11. Click Install
12. When this login pop up box appears enter your laptop s username and password (eg. the login you use when you first turn your laptop on). Click Install Software 13. 14. Click Close Ensure that you Quit Safari for the installation to be successful by choosing Quit Safari from the Safari menu at the top of the screen
1. Click on the Citrix Icon at the top of your screen 2. Click on Open Citrix Receiver 3. Enter the address remote.mbhs.sa.edu.au 4. Click Next 5. In the Username field enter your normal username that you use to access the school network 6. Enter your usual school computer password in the Password field 7. Click Log On A similar password pop up will appear. 8. In the Username field enter your normal username that you use to access the school network 9. Enter your usual school computer password in the Password field 10. Tick Remember my password Click Log On
11. Click Yes You are now ready to use the Citrix Virtual Application Environment! Click on the program that you wish to use. If you click on MBHS Desktop you will see a screen the same as the existing network computers. In the future whenever you want to access the school network you just need to open Citrix Receiver and the screen with all the apps should appear. 12. Click on the Citrix Icon at the top of your screen 13. Click on Open Citrix Receiver
