This standard was originally published in 1968 and subsequently revised in 1980. First revision was based on 3547 : 1976 Plain, bearing Wrapped bush Dimensions, tolerances and methods of checking, issued by the International Organization for Standardization (). Second revision of this standard has been undertaken to align it with the latest version of 3547 (all parts).
