Online Student Enrollment Parent Portal (SPS Staff Only: Non-Resident Students) Below is a set of detailed instructions and the link to the District s Online Enrollment Application: Go to the District s Website (URL): http://family.spsk12.org Click on Online Enrollment Application. You will see the following icon. Click on that icon to start the enrollment application process. New users will need to click on Register New Account For New Users: New users will create their own Logon ID and Password for their account. Users must have an email address in order to create an Account. Register New Account Select to register for a new account. Parent Login ID: The Parent Login ID should be the Users First and Last Name separated with a period (as shown in the example below). If the Login ID is already used by another user with same name, please add a numeric number at the end of the ID (i.e.: Tina.Garrett1). Password: Should be eight character(s) in length including one numeric value. Created by Tina Garret Page 1

Registering New Account Cont. Note: The red * represents a required field and must be completed before the system will allow you to submit. Once you click on Submit an email confirmation will be sent to the user that will include their Login ID and Password (as shown in Image A) and a Welcome screen will appear where you can see any Saved Applications or create a New Application (as shown in Image B) Image A Created by Tina Garret Page 2

Image B For an Existing account: 1. Selecting a Language from the dropdown list is not necessary at this time as the system defaults to English. 2. Enter Parent Login ID 3. Enter Password 4. If the user has forgotten their password, they can click on Forgot Password as shown in the screen print below: Created by Tina Garret Page 3

5. A prompt will then appear the user can put in their Parent Login ID and click Send Password. The system will then email the password information to the User s email address (example shown below). Created by Tina Garret Page 4

New Student Online Enrollment Application (SPS Staff Only: Non-Resident Students) 1. Click New Application 2. SPS Staff Only, click the arrow down to the right of Enrollment Application 1.7 to begin enter enrollment information and select 3. Select SPRINGFIELD PUBLIC SCHOOL STAFF ONLY (Non-Residence Students Only). Click on Go. SPS Staff Only - Student Information Tab: Click on 'Show All Sections' to expand all sections Click 'Hide All Sections' to collapse all sections. Begin filling out the application by Selecting the appropriate school year in which your child will begin attending. If it is the current year, please select the year on the left. If you are Pre-Registering your child for the next school year, please select the next school year on the right. If your child is enrolling in Kindergarten next year, please select the grade level of Pre- Kindergarten. Created by Tina Garret Page 6

Address and Phone Information NOTE: Mailing Address: If different than the Physical Address, please remove the check mark indicating it is the same as Physical Address to allow you to enter a Mailing Address. Phone Type is required when entering a Phone Number. Contact Information: Click on Add Contact to begin adding Contact Information Created by Tina Garret Page 7

If the Contact s address is different than the student s address, please remove the check mark indicating Same as Student s mailing address and enter the address information. NOTE: Only select one Contact Type for each Contact. To add additional contacts, click on Add Contact again and begin filling out information as shown above. To submit the application to the school where your child will be attending: 1. Click on Save. 2. Click on I Agree to certify that the information which you are providing to the District in support of your student s application for enrollment is true and correct. 3. Click Print if you would like to Print a copy of the Application. 4. Click Submit to complete the process. NOTE: When you click on Submit, if there are any fields that are not completed or incorrect, you will receive a pop-up message indicating what is necessary in order to Created by Tina Garret Page 10
