Secure assembly to planter frame using carriage bolts and slotted strap iron brackets and optional spacers as needed. 2006510-ENG Rev C 2019 Ag Leader Technology, Inc All Rights Reserved 5
9. Connect pressure and return hoses to main valve block (Refer to drawing). a. For best performance, a dedicated SCV is recommended for the SureForce TM system. b. If a generator will be installed for powering SureDrive gear motors, the generator and SureForce TM system may share an SCV if necessary. A tee kit is available for this scenario (P/N: 4101516 130A tee kit, P/N: 4101515 200A tee kit). 2006510-ENG Rev C 2019 Ag Leader Technology, Inc All Rights Reserved 6
10. Connect tank hose to main valve block (Refer to drawing). a. It is recommended to tee into an existing case drain on a nearby fan motor if existing fitting is -6 or larger. If not, case drain should tee in close to tractor port to minimize pressure in case drain. b. If a generator will be installed for powering SureDrive gear motors, the generator and SureForce TM system may share an SCV if necessary. A tee kit is available for this scenario (P/N: 4101516 130A tee kit, P/N: 4101515 200A tee kit). 2006510-ENG Rev C 2019 Ag Leader Technology, Inc All Rights Reserved 7
11. Connect frame section hoses to main valve block and route to a row valve in each section (Refer to drawing). a. Main valve block is configured so that row units may be split into a maximum of 3 frame sections. Not all frame section ports must be used. NOTE: 3 sets of ports are provided (on main valve block) just to make sure that adequate oil flow is available at each row unit and to provide hose routing flexibility. b. The maximum recommended number of row units per frame section is 16. c. Use run tees to plumb section hoses in at a row valve for each frame section. 2006510-ENG Rev C 2019 Ag Leader Technology, Inc All Rights Reserved 8
12. Connect row-to-row hoses from row valve to each adjacent row valve (Refer to drawing). a. Use supplied hoses. Hose lengths are dependent on row spacing. b. Identify frame obstructions and flex joints and confirm supplied hose lengths are adequate. 13. Connect each row valve to its corresponding actuator (Refer to drawing). Hose lengths from row valve to actuator are 24 inches. 14. Install PCM (Planter Control Module) and associated cables (ISOBUS breakout cable and I/O cable). Detailed instructions are provided in PCM kit (P/N: 4101337). NOTE: If planter is larger than 24 rows, a CAN repeater is required. 4101411 is the PCM kit that includes a CAN repeater. 2006510-ENG Rev C 2019 Ag Leader Technology, Inc All Rights Reserved 9
NOTE: This step only applies if planter is equipped with bulk-fill seed delivery system. 15. Install seed delivery pressure sensor. Detailed instructions are provided in bulkfill pressure sensor kit (P/N: 4101370). 16. Install an implement switch module on toolbar in front of each row unit that is equipped with an implement switch. NOTE: Module can be secured loosely for now until local CAN Bus is routed and ideal location is determined. 17. Connect CAN implement switch cable to implement switch module that was mounted on toolbar in previous step. 18. Connect integral cable of implement switch to mating connector of CAN implement switch cable. A 42 in. extension cable is provided if required. NOTE: Local CAN connectors of implement switch cable will be connected when local CAN Bus is installed in a following step. 2006510-ENG Rev C 2019 Ag Leader Technology, Inc All Rights Reserved 10
19. Connect terminating plug (with a wire loop) to mating connector of RCM CAN stub at left-most row unit. It is important to use the correct terminator so the display will know that the left-most row unit is row #1. NOTE: The RCM CAN stub at each row unit has a long and a short drop for the local CANBUS. The short drop should always be routed left and the longer drop to the right. This is very important to keep the row units identified properly RCM CAN stub 20. Connect all RCM CAN stubs with CAN stubs of adjacent row units. Always route longer end of RCM CAN stub toward the right. a. NOTE: The bold text above is important for proper row unit indexing. b. 2 ft CAN extensions are available if necessary. 21. Connect PCM to local CANBUS at middle of toolbar. This is typically done with 9 ft CAN extensions, but any length that reaches is acceptable. 22. Connect terminating receptacle to mating connector of RCM CAN stub at right-most row unit. 2006510-ENG Rev C 2019 Ag Leader Technology, Inc All Rights Reserved 11
23. Connect power extension cables as follows: Shortest extension is for center section connector. lf SureDrive will be installed in addition to SureForce TM, power extensions will be a heavier gauge and resemble the upper image. In that case, connect extension cables to distribution box. Longest extensions are for outer wing connectors. NOTE: Power connectors on generator do not technically need to correspond to certain planter sections. If installing SureForce TM without SureDrive, power extensions will be a lighter gauge and resemble the lower image. In that case, connect extension cables to high current power connectors of implement cable using provided power splitters. 24. Connect power distribution cables to extension cables installed in previous step. 25. Connect each drop of power distribution to mating connector of appropriate row unit RCM CAN stub.
