Acxiom-Adobe Integration In order to give customers a better understanding of whether website activity is a result of a particular email campaign, Acxiom and Adobe have partnered to provide integration APIs/Webservices that allow the customer to export campaign data from Impact to Adobe, which can be used for additional report creation in Adobe, as well as to import product view/purchase data collected by Adobe into Impact, which can be used for re-marketing efforts in Campaign Manager. The basic Acxiom-Adobe data flow looks like this: Acxiom sends campaign emails to customers containing links to websites and collects Metrics and Classification Data. Acxiom then exports two different data files to Adobe: the Email Campaign Metrics file and the Email Campaign Classifications Data file. Clicks within the emails sent by Acxiom that contain links (which, in turn, contain cell ID, member ID, and offer ID in the URL) to websites are collected by Adobe. Acxiom then imports the aggregate data collected by Adobe in the form of several segments and their associated data variables. Several setup steps must be completed prior to using the integration: Current Acxiom customers must also sign an agreement with Adobe. Contact your Acxiom Account Representative for more information. The desired campaign fields to be exported from Acxiom to Adobe must be defined on adobe.com. See the Exporting Data from Acxiom to Adobe section for more information. 1
The segments to be imported into Acxiom from Adobe must be defined on adobe.com. See the Importing Data from Adobe to Acxiom section for more information. The Program ID for the company must be defined on adobe.com. Acxiom uses the Program ID as the primary key to export and import campaign data to and from Adobe for each company. The Notification List field, which is a list of email addresses that will receive notification emails when data is exported, must be sent to Acxiom. The From Address field, which defines the From Address for the notification emails, must be sent to Acxiom. Link Parameters Acxiom provides three different parameters in the links contained within the email that direct the recipient to the web site. These parameters tie the segment data collected by Adobe to a particular member, message, and offer. The parameters are: acx_rid this parameter uniquely identifies the individual recipient and is set to DI_MEMBER_ID. This parameter is required. acx_mid this parameter uniquely identifies the message that was sent and is set to DI_CELL_ID. This parameter is required. acx_lid this parameter uniquely identifies the tracking link in the message and is set to DI_OFFER_ID. This parameter is Hence, the final URL will contain: &acx_rid=<di_member_id/>&acx_mid=<di_cell_id/>&acx_lid=<di_offer_id/> Exporting Data from Acxiom to Adobe Two different files are exported from Acxiom to Adobe, both of which contain multiple fields. During setup on adobe.com, the fields for each of these files can be selected so that they are included in or de-selected so that they are excluded from the export files. The files exported and their respective fields are: Email Campaign Metrics File The Email Campaign Metrics file contains aggregate data collected by Acxiom that is exported to Adobe.
