Istallatio Notes for MATLAB R14SP3 Compatibility Update for TargetLik 2.1 Itroductio The MATLAB R14SP3 Compatibility Update for TargetLik 2.1 eables you to use TargetLik 2.1 together with MATLAB ad Simulik o the basis of The MathWorks Release 14 with Service Pack 3. For simplicity, the term MATLAB R14SP3 is used to refer to The MathWorks Release 14 with Service Pack 3 throughout the rest of this documet. Module-depedet istallatio procedures TargetLik is a software applicatio cosistig of several modules. The istallatio procedure depeds o the module to be istalled. The followig procedures are described: Istallig the MATLAB R14SP3 Compatibility Update for TargetLik 2.1 Istallig the MATLAB R14SP3 Compatibility Update for the TargetLik Blockset The TargetLik Blockset ca be used o its ow (stadaloe mode), that is, detached from the TargetLik Base Suite. It is free of charge ad iteded to exchage models freely without the eed for extra TargetLik liceses. Apart from the licese iformatio, which is ot required for the TargetLik Blockset, the istallatio steps are idetical to the oes of the TargetLik Base Suite. No separate istructios are give here for this reaso. Istallig the Data Dictioary Maager (stad-aloe versio) Istallig the Data Dictioary Maager (stad-aloe versio) ad the TargetLik Blockset i the same dspace folder Precoditios for istallatio If you order a ew TargetLik licese, the MATLAB Compatibility Update is icluded o CD. If you are updatig, you first have to dowload the MATLAB Compatibility Update from dspace s Web site at http://www.dspace.de/goto?support. Istallig the MATLAB R14SP3 Compatibility Update for TargetLik 2.1 requires that you have istalled Widows 2000 or Widows XP. It is highly recommeded that you istall the latest Service Packs. Widows NT is ot supported by MATLAB R14SP3. Hece, this MATLAB Compatibility Update does ot support Widows NT. MATLAB R14SP3 is istalled o your PC Java Virtual Machie (JVM) 1.5.0 origially istalled with MATLAB R14SP3 causes errors that particularly impair work with TargetLik, although the same errors also occur without TargetLik. Thus, the MATLAB R14SP3 Compatibility Update for TargetLik 2.1 has bee released explicitly for Java Virtual Machie 1.4.2_08. It is madatory to use this JVM i cojuctio with this compatibility update ad to set the istallatio path i the MATLAB_JAVA eviromet variable to MATLAB_JAVA=C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_08. You ca istall the JVM 1.4.2_08 from Tools/Java i the root folder of the CD. The madatory istallatio folder is: C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_08. Method 1 To istall the MATLAB R14SP3 Compatibility Update for TargetLik 2.1 1 Isert the TargetLik Product CD ito the CD-ROM drive. 2 Choose the CD-ROM drive ad ru CDsetup.exe to istall TargetLik 2.1 for MATLAB R14SP3. If you wat to istall the TargetLik Blockset, ru TLBS2.1_Setup.exe istead. Follow the istructios give by the istallatio program util a message iforms you that TargetLik 2.1 does ot support MATLAB R14SP3. 3 Click OK ad cotiue the istallatio ayway. 4 Reboot your operatig system if required by the istallatio 5 From your dowload folder, ru TL2.1.5_Setup.exe to istall the MATLAB R14SP3 Compatibility Update for TargetLik 2.1. To istall this MATLAB Compatibility Update, you have to have a TL_MLCUR14SP3 TargetLik licese. Method 2 To istall the Data Dictioary Maager (stad-aloe versio) 1 Isert the TargetLik Product CD ito the CD-ROM drive. 2 Choose the CD-ROM drive ad ru CDsetup.exe to istall Data Dictioary Maager 1.3.1. 3 Follow the istructios give by the istallatio 4 I the TargetLik Setup - Select Compoets dialog, select the Data Dictioary Maager checkbox. 5 Clear all other checkboxes. 6 Reboot your operatig system if required by the istallatio 7 From your dowload folder, ru TL2.1.5_Setup.exe to istall Data Dictioary Maager 1.3.5. 8 Click Fiish to close the istallatio Result The Data Dictioary Maager 1.3.5 (stad-aloe versio) is istalled. Method 3 To istall the Data Dictioary Maager (stad-aloe versio) ad the TargetLik Blockset i the same dspace folder 1 Isert the TargetLik Product CD ito the CD-ROM drive. 2 Choose the CD-ROM drive ad ru CDsetup.exe to istall Data Dictioary Maager 1.3.1 3 Follow the istructios give by the istallatio program ad reboot your system if required. 4 Choose the CD-ROM drive ad ru TLBS2.1_Setup.exe to istall TargetLik Blockset. 5 Reboot your operatig system if required by the istallatio 6 From your dowload folder, ru TL2.1.5_Setup.exe to istall Data Dictioary Maager 1.3.5. 7 Reboot your operatig system if required by the istallatio 8 From your dowload folder, ru TLBS215_Setup.exe to istall TargetLik Blockset 2.1.5.
