Zotero Introduction Zotero is a free citation management program which allows you to easily save and organize references/citations from websites and online databases, insert them into your research paper in many different citation styles, and create reference lists. To use Zotero, you can download Zotero for Firefox or Zotero Standalone. Zotero for Firefox is a plug-in which you run within the Firefox browser, while Zotero Standalone is a separate program on your desktop. There is not much difference between these two options both offer full Zotero functionality. Zotero Standalone is recommended for users who do not use Firefox as their primary browser. Creating an account with Zotero will allow you to synchronize your Zotero library across all your devices, and to access your references from anywhere with an Internet connection.
