1 Overview The connect web site (connect.chop.edu) is used for secure remote access into the CHOP trusted network. This guide describes how to configure and use the system to access CHOP applications and servers. 2 Requirements 2.1 Security Have a CHOP network login User Name and Password. Entrust Passcode Requirements o Users that have been issued a token (Required) o Supervisors in CHOPOne (Required) o Non-Supervisors (Not Required) A member of the RSACAG / CAGNonRSA and Citrix security group. 2.2 Computer Requirements 2.2.1 Network Connection Your computer needs to be able to access the Internet or be connected to the CHOP network. 2.3 Application Requirements 2.3.1 Supported Operating Systems Windows 7, 8, 10 Mac OS 10.12 2.3.2 Supported Web Browsers Microsoft Internet Explorer 11 o Disable pop-up blockers (IE, Safari, Google & Yahoo Toolbars, etc.) o Uncheck Do not save encrypted pages to disk under Internet Options, Advanced, Security section. Safari 10.1.2 2.3.3 Citrix Receiver Before Connect to CHOP can be used the first time, Citrix Receiver must be installed on the device that will be use to connect. This only needs to be done once; for subsequent use, follow the steps in section 3. 2.3.3.1 Microsoft Windows Receiver Install 1. Launch a browser session and type into the address bar: connect.chop.edu Page 3 of 12
2. Click the Citrix Receiver link to download. Citrix will automatically detect your OS. 3. Select Download Receiver for Windows 4. Select Run 5. Select Start, then select Next Page 4 of 12
6. Select Install, then select Finish, it is good practice to reboot after the install 7. After the device is rebooted, this message will display. Check the Do not show this window automatically at logon box, then select Close. Do not type an email address in. 2.3.3.2 Mac Receiver Install 1. Launch a browser session and type into the address bar: connect.chop.edu Page 5 of 12
2. Click the link to download the Citrix Client. Citrix will automatically detect your OS. After the software is downloaded and the disk image is mounted, double click on the installer application. 3. Select Install Citrix Receiver.pkg, then select Continue. Page 6 of 12
4. Select Continue, then select Continue. 5. Select Continue, then select Agree. 6. Select Install, you will be prompted to enter Administrator Name and Password, then select Install Software. Page 7 of 12
7. Select Continue, then select Close, it is good practice to reboot after the install 8. After the device is rebooted, this message will display. After the Citrix Receiver is installed, you should be prompted to trust the Citrix Receiver Plug-In. From the Safari menu, select Trust If the prompt above does not appear, the plug-in must be trusted manually. 1. From the Safari menu, select Preferences Page 8 of 12
2. From the Security window, select Plug-in Settings 3. Select On for both Citrix URLs, select Done 3 Logon Connect 1. Launch a browser session and type into the address bar: connect.chop.edu Page 9 of 12
2. Enter your User Name then click the Submit button. 3. The next screen depends on whether you have an Entrust token assigned to you. a. If a token is assigned, password and passcode are required, once entered, click the Log in button. b. If a token is not assigned, you only require a password, once entered, Page 10 of 12
click the Log on button. Connect to CHOP 4. Once logged in, you willl be presented with 2 sets of applications. Note: Not all CHOP applications are available through Connect to CHOP a. Bookmarks (default view) These applications will have limited functionality, hover over any icon to see full name of application. b. Citrix Apps This will display the same list of Citrix published applications as Citrix Web. Simply double-click the application, use as if you were onsite at CHOP. Page 11 of 12
4 Logoff Connect 1. To logoff, properly exit the application you were using and click on the down arrow then click Log Off. 2.
