You can integrate to easily record lectures and presentations, and publish them to Ensemble Video so they can be viewed on your LMS, CMS, ipad, blog or webpage. Login to Ensemble Video Enter your Ensemble Video username/password and click on Login. Go to the Administrative Panel and Create an Organizational Media Source Template Once logged in go to the administrative panel and click on Organizations. Then navigate to the organization and click Configure. If you are a cloud customer please request a Camtasia Relay Watch Directory Template. 1
Configure Camtasia Relay Watch Directory Media Source Template Click on Add a New Template. Enter the title for the Media Source Template, it is recommended that you add Camtasia Relay Watch Directory as the title. Next, add the Watch Path and Web Path for the Watch Directory Template. Make sure the File Filter is set to Audio & Video the click Update. This is the main FTP directory where Camtasia Relay content will be transferred to. If you are a cloud customer please request a FTP location for Camtasia Relay and Ensemble Video will configure your organizational Media Source Template. Confirm Your Organization Media Source Template is Created and Enabled After adding your organization Media Source Template make sure it appears in the Media Source Template list. 2
Return to the Administrative Panel and make sure you are in the Library where you want to add the Camtaisa Relay Content Make sure you are in the library for the user who will manage Camtasia Relay content. Click on Media Sources to add the Camtasia Relay Media Source for this individual library. Also, make sure the Ensemble library has the same name as the Camtasia Relay presenter s username. This is IMPORTANT! For example, the Ensemble Video library is snadzan and the Camtasia Relay presenter s username is snadzan. Click on Add a New Media Source Click on Add a New Media Source. Choose the Camtasia Relay Watch Directory Media Source Template. This will create a unique folder for this user inside of the main Camtaisa Relay FTP directory. 3
Enter Details for Media Source Enter the title for the Media Source. If you created a Media Source Template the title will include the Media Source Template Name and the Library name. The Template will automatically create the folder on the media server using the Library name. This is IMPORTANT! In the next section of this help document we will configure Camtasia Relay to auto-publish to this folder using the Camtasia Relay username which is snadzan in this example. Confirm Your Library Media Source Template is Created and Enabled After adding your Library Media Source make sure it appears in the Media Source list. If so, you are ready to integrate Camtasia Relay! 4
Login to Camtasia Relay as an Administrator Go to your Camtaisa Relay URL and Sign In as an Administrator to complete the configuration. After Signing In, go to Profiles and Select Publish Destination Setup After signing in you will see the System Dashboard. Hover over Profiles in the main navigation and select Publish Destination Setup. 5
Click on FTP Server On the left navigation click on FTP Server. In this area you will add a FTP server to publish Camtasia Relay presentations. You can get most of the details for this section from your Ensemble Video Organizational media Source Template. Enter a Title, a Host, a Path, and a URL. The Host URL will be where you FTP your files to. The Path will be the main FTP directory you will be transferring your files to. The URL is the web path from your Organization Media Source Template. Note: make sure you use http:// not rtmp://. Camatasia Relay will not accept rtmp:// in this section. Lastly, make sure the Protocol is set to FTP. Click Save. Add {s:presenterusername} Variable In the Path field we suggest adding the {s:presenterusername} variable. 6
Add Account to Publish Destination After adding your Publish Destination, click on Publish Account Setup to add an account to the Publish Destination. Add Account Information for Publishing Destination You will need to add the FTP account information for the Publishing Destination. Completed presentations will be published to the Ensemble Video FTP server Publishing Destination. Enter a Title for the Publish Account, make sure you select This is the default for this publish destination. Next, enter the Username and Password for your FTP account. Finally, add the URL for the FTP account and then add the Output Path from your Publish Destination. For example, the output path is \CamtasiaRelay\{s:PresenterUserName}. Click Save. 7
Ensemble Video Notification Setup (Optional, but Recommended) Hover over the Profiles button in the main navigation and click on Notification Setup. Notifications are the various ways that people are informed when presentations are published. They are sent per profile and can include information about multiple processed presentations. If you have not setup Notifications, skip this step. Enter Email Notification Setup Details Enter the details for the Ensemble Video Email Notification. Enter the Recipient Email variable {s:presenteremailaddress}. Next, enter a custom subject and message for the recipient. We recommend that you enter text that says, Please login to http://yourensembleurl.edu to review and publish your content. Then, make sure the Presenter is selected in the Details template. 8
Create a Profile Hover over Profiles in the main navigation and select Profile List. Then click on the Add a New Profile button. Create a Profile Enter a Profile Title and click Save. Profiles are important in Camtasia Relay because all presenters must select a Profile before they can upload their presentations to the server. Profiles determine record quality, encoding format(s) and publish destination(s). Only Camtasia Relay Administrators can create and modify profiles. Choose the Ensemble Video Publish Destination In the Profile Destination area select the Ensemble Video Profile Destination that you created. 9
Choose ipad in the Encode Settings Area In the Encode Settings Area, choose ipad in the encode settings. The encode setting define the format in which you presentation is produced. Note: Choose only one MP4 encode setting. Choose The Ensemble Video Publish Account in the Publish Accounts Area In the Publish Accounts Area choose the pre-configured Ensemble Video Publish Account. 10
Choose The Ensemble Video Email Notification In the Notification Selection Area choose the pre-configured Ensemble Video Email Message. This will notify the users when their Camtasia presentation has been published to Ensemble Video. Confirm The Ensemble Video Cloud Encode Setting and Notification Assignment In the Notification Assignment Area make sure the ipad encoding setting is selected. 11
Variable Definition (Optional) In the Variable Definition Area you can add additional profile variables, this is optional. Add Associated Users for the Profile In the Associated Users Area you can associate users with a profile to give that presenter access to the profile in the recorder. Also you can automatically associate this profile with new users. 12
Confirm The Profile Overview In the Profile Overview Area you can confirm the Profile s workflow. Test the Profile In the Profile Test Area you can test the profile you created. This will submit a sample presentation to Ensemble Video. Also, if you check the Email Notifications option, Camtasia Relay will notify the presenter with the presentation has been processed and uploaded to Ensemble Video. 13
Confirm the Test Profile Results If your Profile has been configured properly the presenter will get an Email Notification, there will be a File in you FTP Directory and the Camtasia presentation will be added to the proper Library in Ensemble Video. 14
