Social Media This module allows you to display social media links on your event website. Your attendees can use these links to follow your event and stay up to date. The social media outlets include; Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. The social media icons can be displayed in the footer or below the page menu of the website. Activating the Social Media module Within a created event, go to Event > Settings > Properties. On the Properties page, within Event Options tick the Social Media checkbox and click Save. The Social Media module will work in conjunction with all available modules in this section Page 3 of 10
Social Media Setup Once Social Media has been activated and saved, you can specify your social media links and page within Website Settings. Go to Website > Settings > Website Settings Social Media Panel Social Media Display Options Disabled: this disables the particular social media outlet from appearing on the website In footer: the social media icon will appear at the bottom of the website within the footer Below menu: the social media icon will appear directly below the menu bar Page 4 of 10

Linking a Facebook Account In order to link a Facebook account to your Eventsforce event, you will need the Facebook Group name or PageID. This can be determined by visiting the Facebook page and copying the page URL: Example Facebook page URL: https://www.facebook.com/eventsforce.solutions Facebook Group name: eventsforce.solutions Eventsforce website icon: Page 6 of 10
Linking a Twitter Account/Handle In order to link a twitter account, you will need the twitter handle name. This is the name that appears after the @ symbol, and can also be obtained from the twitter page URL. Linking a LinkedIn Account In order to link to a LinkedIn account, you will need the LinkedIn Group ID. The Group ID can be obtained if you have the full URL for the LinkedIn page. Log into LinkedIn, change the search setting to Groups and search for the group you want to link. Click the group name, and copy the URL in your address bar Example LinkedIn Group URL: https://www.linkedin.com/groups?gid=2732642&trk=vsrp_groups... Sharing Buttons In addition to displaying social media icons allowing attendees to follow your pages, you can also allow attendees to share your event through various social media outlets. Within Website > Settings > Website Settings, there is a list of checkbox options to Show these sharing buttons: The sharing buttons all appear within the footer of the website.
