FDS-B737NG-ELEC-CAB-SYS Installation Instructions Parts List: The ELEC portion of the package includes: 7 Segment Display Module 2 x VRS45PCB Units Wiring and connectors/lens, display insert and hardware The Cabin Press portion includes: Dual 7-Segment Displays Dual Rotary Encoders Cable / Wiring and hardware The FDS-B737NG-ELEC-CAB-SYS setup can be used as standalone units when connected to our SYS proprietary software. The complete Electrical and Cabin Press panel components can be wired to the module and connect via USB. Avionics software functionality is required for full implementation. Setup is done via FDS Provided XML files that are imported into our SYS software. Set up only takes minutes. (IBL Panels and some hardware optional) 1
Step One Installation of the Electrical module 7 Segment Display Module 2 x VRS45PCB Units wiring and connectors/lens and display insert (not shown) Remove the Electrical IBL Panel screws (4) and rear IBL plug. Remove the 2 knobs. Remove the IBL panel. Now the original 2 VRS45 s (if equipped). Install the new VRS45 s, check the total detents of each switch and use the supplied detent washer. Do not over tighten the VRS45 s. Replace the panel lens with the new supplied lens and insert. 2
Using the supplied stand-offs install the stud end into the module assembly. Use the nylon lock nut to secure. The electrical panel metal backer will require the 4 holes drilled out using a 9/64 drill bit. This allows for a clearance hole for the attaching screws. (Future backers will have these clearance holes) Use the two supplied 6/32 x 1/4 screws in the lower 2 holes to attach the module to the metal backer. The upper screws will hold the IBL panel through the metal backer into the upper stand-offs. Use the original screws for the lower mounting of the panel. The IBL panel will have two recessed areas for the lower mounting screws of the ELEC Module. Stand-offs and nylon lock nuts Re-install the IBL panel, screws and knobs. 3
Step Two Installation of the Cabin Pressure elements Dual 7-Segment Displays Dual Rotary Encoders Cable / Wiring and hardware Remove the knob, 4 panel screws and IBL connector. Remove the IBL panel. Remove the installed rotary encoders and VRS30. Replace them with supplied parts. A wiring harness is supplied from the VRS30 and needs to attach to the toggle switch. Re-install the IBL panel, screws and knob. 4

Note 1: If you purchased a complete Overhead Assembly or have wired your own, you need to make a small change to the wiring for these Annuciators. Step #1: Remove the 3 connectors from the Annuciators and install the supplied harness. If your OH was pre-wired you will need to follow the harness wires and continue the ground wire circuit. Once the connectors are removed the ground circuit is interrupted. In most cases the black wire continues through the small PC board on pins 2 and 4. If you follow the harness you should be able to see the direction of the harness and connect the black wire from the first removed connector and cut and wire to the third connector black wire that is continuing to the next connector in the harness. The black wire coming to the first connector gets cut and joined to the black wire that is on the 3 rd connector to continue the ground circuit after you unplug the connectors from the Annuciators and replace with the supplied harness. In the wiring of Annuciators the pins 2 and 4 are jumped to allow for daisy chaining of the Annuciators in the original harness. Future harnesses will be wired separately allowing for an easy installation on the ELEC Annuciator harness. Note the connector info below. Wiring the ELEC panel with J7 harness Galley switch is wired with the purple wire to the ON position and the Blue is the Common on the middle switch position. BAT is wired to the Battery switch again with the Purple wire to the ON position and the Blue is the Common on the middle switch. MAINT push switch is wired with the connector in the harness, if do not have a pin connector on your push switch please remove the connector and wire directly to the push switch (no special pins used, solder on either pin) Note: Any previously installed wires will need to be removed from the switches and taped on the cut end. The Module Software will be using the switches and will control the switches outputs and LED Annuciators and Displays. 7
Wiring the ALT panel with J7 harness J7 Connector leads go to the following switches on the ALT panel: 1) Open and Close (Blue is Common/middle of switch) 2) Auto / ALTN / Man (Replace with Supplied VRS30 switch) Note: Check switch with DVM (meter) or toggle position is always opposite to switch position (Close is left side but right side of the switch on the rear) 8
