PROFIBUS PROFI104 PC/104 Board for Use as Master or Slave Single channel interface board in PC/104 format for integrating PCs into PROFIBUS architectures as machine controllers, supervisory control applications, visualization systems or field devices. SUPPORT OF PROFIBUS MASTER OR SLAVE FUNCTIONALITY The protocol required for the specific use case is user selectable and executed on the PROFI104 board. As a DP slave, the board integrates the PC into overlying control architectures. Configured as a DP master, the board turns the PC itself into a controller. In addition, integration into FMS systems or proprietary applications is just as easy and unproblematic as direct access at the lowest protocol level (FDL). This makes the PROFI104 a universal interface solution for integrating industrial and embedded PCs and allows manufacturers to optimize the overhead costs and inventory for their PROFIBUS options. The Object Buffer mode allows the application to filter messages of interest, and automatically buffers the data recently received by the application. The application can use this data when needed, and is not burdened with the other messages. The CAN-AC PC/104 interface board can automatically transmit the data on the bus in exact, individually configurable cycles. A CANopen Client API is also included for use in CANopen networks. In FIFO mode, all sent and received messages are buffered to ensure that no data is lost when the computer is busy with other work. The Object Buffer mode allows the application to filter messages of interest, and automatically buffers the data recently received by the application. The application can use this data when needed, and is not burdened with the other messages. The CANpro PCI Express interface board can automatically transmit the data on the bus in exact, individually configurable cycles. A CANopen Client API is also included for use in CANopen networks. It is suitable for a wide variety of CAN and CANopen applications like control, measurement, configuration, and analysis tasks and is also available as a Heavy Duty version.
