How to Create a PayPal Account Step 1 Go to PayPal.com In this video we are going to be setting up a U.S. based PayPal account. Here I can click the sign up for free here, or I can click at the top right. Step 2 Open a Business PayPal Account (US Member Benefits) I'm going to click here and I'm going to open a business account and the first thing I want to do is explain the differences between it personal and business account for us' base accounts it's important you get a business account so that you can opt in to get the cash back from their debit card.
Step 3 Click on Get Started We're going to go and click on get started. Step 4 Choose PayPal Payments Standard We're going to use the standard one here.
Step 5 Enter Your Email Address We're going to enter an email address. Step 6 Fill Out the Registration Form
We are going to choose our login information then a password, and add our name. Today, I will be using an LLC for advice on getting an LLC corporation or something to that effect you want to check with a CPA on that. A lot of times people can open a business account and you would actually be your name instead of an LLC or company name so we're going to your phone number and your address now we will click agree and continue. Step 7 Business Type On the type of business, it will be individual proprietorship based on my LLC.
For category we will click on retail not elsewhere classified Sub category I will normally use a discount store monthly sales I usually just click on minimum do we have a website, just click on no and then we'll continue.
Step 8 Personal Information Now we're going to enter personal information. We will enter last four of your social security number and date of birth and this is for U.S. residents only international will be different click on Submit.
Step 9 Welcome to Your PayPal Account Now what we have done is we have created our PayPal business account and now we will confirm our account setup and we're going to confirm our email.
Step 10 Confirm Your Email We will click here confirm email.
Step 11 Link Your PayPal Account
Go to accounts set up again and now what you're going to do is here you'll be able to link your bank account click add a bank account. Step 12 - Login to Your Bank Account Add your login information for your bank click continue.
Step 13 Choose Your Bank Account to Link Choose my checking account and you can now use your bank account so I will continue.
Step 14 PayPal Debit Card (US Only) When you are signing up your bank account you will want to cash back Debit Card CLICK HERE TO GET THE PAYPAL DEBIT CARD You will actually be able to earn cash back as you can see here you earn.5% cash back whenever you sign for a purchase and you get a protection from unwanted charges you'll be able to use the debit card just like you would a bank card but it draws off the money you have in PayPal so we will click apply now.
Step 15 Add or Confirm Mailing Address and Credit Card Information Its asking me to confirm my mailing address. Step 16 Confirm Mailing Address Now we're going to confirm information your debit card can only be sent to a confirmed billing address and that's exactly where we want it going to click continue.
Step 17 Verify the Information Agree to the card holder agreement it says, your approved for the PayPal MasterCard and your card should arrive in 7 to 10 business days then you can activate it right away and now it got an email that our Debit MasterCard is on its way and that's as far as getting to PayPal debit card. Step 18 Approval We are all done with setting up a PayPal account.
