SuperCam software for Droid.
1. Begin by entering your the Main Menu of your Android phone. ( Some Android phone menus may look slightly different. ) Now locate the Android Market App. 2. Now choose the Android Market icon by pressing your finger on the icon.
3. Choose the Search option. 4. Press on the search bar and then type supercam
5. Once you have type in supercam press the search button 6. You will notice the result of your search will display the SuperCam software. Select the software by pressing it.
7. You will no see the device description and the option to install the app. Press the Install button.
8. The system will ask you to grant access to the application. Click OK. The SuperCam software will begin to download.
9. Once the SuperCam software downloads you will see the SuperCam icon appear in your Droid menu. Click on it. 10. The system comes with a default IP address as an example. Click in the Server Screen to enter your DVR IP address. Note* - Your Plex DVR must be on a network and the ports must be forwarded in order for this app to work.
11. For this example we are using our demo IP address. You will notice that that we have our demo on port 95 not 80 so we added a colon 95 to the end of the IP address. 12. Once you enter the IP address click next to enter the User name. The default user name for the Plex is admin and the password is 123456. Enter this information accordingly.
13. Once all your information is entered press the Done button below. 14. Very important. Make sure to press the remember me button. This will store your information into favorites. If you do not do this the IP address will default when you enter the app again.
15. Now press the Login button to connect to your Plex DVR. 16. SuperCam should connect to your Plex DVR and you will see this screen. Press the Live View icon to begin seeing your DVR.
17. SuperCam will begin displaying camera one as default. Use the blue buttons below to choose the camera you wish to see. 18. If you have a PTZ camera setup on the system you may control the PTZ right from your software. Press the PTZ icon to enter the PTZ menu.
19. The PTZ menu allows you to move the PTZ camera left, up, down, or right. You may zoom in and out and run presets right from the menu. When a button is pressed you will notice the background of the button becomes red to confirm your choice. 20. To leave the PTZ menu simply press the PTZ icon again.
21. SuperCam allows you to take a snapshot at any time and save it to your SD card for later viewing. Simply press the Camera icon to take a picture and store it. 22. An added feature to you software is the ability to actually record video as your viewing your cameras. All recordings are stored on your SD card and may be played back on your Android phone. Press the Rec button to begin and end recording.
23. Hearing live audio is also a nice option. Press the Audio icon to begin hearing live audio. You must have a camera with a built in microphone or independent mic connected to the Plex for this option to work. 24. Landscape Mode: You may view your cameras in Landscape mode and see the camera in full screen. Simply press the Full Screen icon and your camera will be shown full screen.
25. Here is an example of full screen mode. Tap on the screen to return to regular viewing mode. 26. Press the Return button to go back to the main screen of SuperCam. The DVR will remain connected when returning to the SuperCam Main Menu.
27. Local Search: Local search allows you to playback all the recorded data you recorded while watching in Live Mode. Choose Local Search and you will see a list of available files to playback. Choose the file by pressing on it. Playback will begin and you will have the option of pausing, stopping, full screen view and retuning to the main menu.
28. Image View: Press the Image View icon to view any snapshot pictures you have taken. In the example below you will notice that you may zoom in and out and delete the image if you would like.
29. History Log: The history log will show you information pertaining to application history. In the example below you can see when we logged in and clicked live view.
30. Favorites: Here you will see a list of all your DVRs and allow you to quickly connect to any of them. The example below shows you what you would see. Simply click and hold the site you would like to view. The connect screen will pop up and ask you to connect. You may add, delete or edit sites from this menu using the icons below.
31. Local Set: Local set allows you to choose Alarm Settings, change the path for recording and choose the size of disk space you would like to use.
32. Information Screen: Provides you DVR information. The firmware version, Device ID and Name.
33. Help : The help icon provides a small manual which opens in your browser. Scroll up and down to read instructions.
