Online Returns Information Guide

Online Return Benefits Online magazine return processing-go online to declare your return, title by title Automatic discount calculations- Eliminates the need to manually calculate different category margins Open access to your magazine return currently in process allows you to update a return multiple times until you are ready to submit E-mail confirmation of magazine return submission Provides verification that your return has been received including units and dollar value. Online Return Requirements Access Online Returns using a Windows PC, tablet or smart phone. These are the recommended internet browsers: Internet Explorer version 7 or higher Google Chrome version 21 or higher Mozilla Firefox version 15 or higher Safari version 5 or higher If you wish to download previous online returns, you will need Microsoft Excel or a PDF reader software. 3

Online Return Let s Get Started! Welcome to Online Returns! TNG Customer Service Team will provide you with a username and password call 1-800-201-8127, press 2 for Sales and Service between 8am and 6pm EST or e-mail cs@tng.com. Online returns are available anytime. Go online to tng.marcten.com. Change your password it must include at least one capital letter and one number. Enter Username Enter Password 4

Online Return Let s Get Started! Once you have logged in you are ready to start the return process. Click Returns. Click New Magazine Return. 5

Online Return Enter Return Continue to add titles to your magazine return. Note that only one return can be submitted every 7 days. (add link) 7

Online Return Save When you wish to resume your return you will need to log in with your user name and password. Click Open Current magazine Return. Continue entering your returns. 9

Online Return Submit Click Close Return and Submit when you have finished entering all your returns. 10

Online Return Confirm Check to make sure your return is correct and you are ready to submit it. When you are sure, click Yes. 11

Online Return Verification You may now click Exit. An e-mail confirmation will be sent to you. 12

Online Return FAQs Must I complete my return once I have started? If you are interrupted or need to take a break you may log out and continue when you have some more time. You can log in and out as many times as you need. Once the return is complete and submitted, it cannot be changed. How long will my return stay on hold? Your return will stay on hold until you complete and submit it. What if I change my mind and don t want to make a return? You may cancel your return by clicking the cancel button. I have submitted my return and I have found more magazines that need to be returned. What now? If any magazines have been missed, they must wait to be included in the next return. You may start your next return at any time, but you can only submit 7 days after the previous return. I received a magazine today that was not on my invoice and I want to return it. How do I do that? Product that has not been invoiced cannot be returned until it has been reported to Customer Service as an overage and billed to you. So, if you have an overage (product you received in error and you were not billed), you may not return the product until 48 hours after the overage has been called in and entered into our system. Attempting to return copies that were not invoiced will result in the error message exceeds draw. I received an error message exceeds draw what does this mean? The system will not allow more copies of a title to be returned than were originally billed. 15

Online Return FAQs How do I know that TNG has received my return submission? Once your return has been submitted you will receive a confirmation e-mail including units and credit amount. This is your receipt. The online return is your official return, and will match your receipt that is e-mailed to the store. I need information from a past return, how do I get it? You may go online to view previous return history. What do I do with the slip number? The number on the magazine credit claim form is the slip number that you need to key into your Online Return this number is also on your preprinted return labels in the reference # field, along with your account number. I forgot to do my online return but I gave the driver my returns what now? An online return mustbe completed in order for you to receive credit. Never give the driver any product that you have not returned online. You will not get any credit for product that you returned without entering it online. Questions? Slip Number The slip number is the number found on your Magazine Credit Claim Form. This number is also on your preprinted magazine return labels along with your account number. Slip Number 17

Bipads and Issue numbers Bipadsand issue numbers are found on the magazine at the bar code. BipadNumber -A five digit number assigned to a magazine, which enables our system to identify a specific title. All magazines are identified in our system by bipads. Example - the bipad number for Cosmopolitan is 08233. Bipad Issue Issue Number -A two digit number assigned to a specific issue of a magazine title. Example -the issue number of a monthly title for April is 04. Issue Bipad 18

Tab Button If you are using Internet Explorer 8, your tab button may not work. When run in compatibility mode, the tab button will function correctly. In Internet Explorer 8, go to Tools\Compatibility View Settings. Either add marcten.com to the compatibility view list or check the "display all websites in compatibility view" below. 19

Quick Guide Go online. Enter Username and Password to login. Click Returns. Click New Magazine Return. Key bipad, issue number and quantity. You can close and re-open your return multiple times. Submit your return. You will receive an e-mail confirmation acknowledging receipt. Include a copy of the confirmation with your return when presenting it to the driver. You can view previous return history online. Returns may be submitted every 7 days. You may start a new return at any time but it can only be submitted 7 days after the last return date. 20
