1. How business departments and IT can collaborate more effectively using the two professional tools Signavio and leanix Seamless integration such as that between Signavio and leanix allows business departments and IT divisions to each use the tools of their choice while nonetheless maintaining a shared view of the company's processes and the IT support for them. This ensures that business and IT departments speak the same language and are able to collaborate effectively. By the way: integrating the two tools requires no consulting or additional integration effort whatsoever. 2. Process modeling as a basis for successful strategic IT alignment Intensifying competition, increasing internationalization, high cost pressures and rapid growth are among the challenges companies face today. The increasing complexity of products and organizational structures is another factor that causes companies to seek new ways to accept these challenges and use them as opportunities for change. If for example a company grows extraordinarily quickly, it will often fail to create standardized procedures for recurring corporate processes, and the responsibilities within its teams may not be clearly defined. This can often lead to tasks being performed in duplicate or not carried out at all. In addition, employees in complex organizational structures frequently lack a general understanding of their own place within the company and the part they play in the company's overall success. 3. Associate IT Applications with corporate processes Alongside process modeling, IT support for corporate processes is crucial to enabling businesses to detect improvements or the effects of changes. In order to identify how well and how extensively a process is supported by the company's IT, it is necessary to associate IT applications with process steps. Additional information on IT applications for example allows technological risks to be assigned directly to a process. Or when applications are deactivated, this too requires an understanding of the process effects both in IT and in the business departments. Fig. 1 Associating IT applications with processes (Signavio) Frequently however, the difficulty is in associating the correct IT application with a specific process, as the process modeler may not always be familiar with the application name used by the IT department. Repositories for these purposes are often managed separately and not regularly synchronized. Page 4 of 7

4. Prioritize IT planning according to corporate processes Transparent processes and IT applications mean improvements or aspects of risk minimization become apparent very quickly. leanix offers especially user-friendly editing functions and interactive reporting that allows circumstances to be evaluated and examined from different angles. The derived insights can be applied directly to forward planning processes in leanix. In addition to assessments of criticality and suitability, all applications in leanix can be assigned a lifecycle and a possible successor system. Linking applications to projects makes changes to IT portfolios transparent; here too, intelligent analyses help users maintain a clear overview. 5. Instantly ready to use and easy to start All you need to take advantage of these possibilities is access to Signavio and leanix. Simply use your Signavio user data to connect to the Signavio workspace in leanix and instantly update your data. The available information is immediately synchronized. If you already have processes stored in Signavio and IT applications associated with them, these are transferred to the leanix repository, and vice versa: IT applications in leanix are made available in the Signavio workspace. 6.
