Prerequisites Checklist 1 Ensure that Medtech Evlutin General Practice Versin Build Versin 1.5.7.86(minimum) is installed 2 Ensure that Medtech Services Versin 1.5.6.70 (minimum) is installed 3 Ensure all users (including remte users): Have lgged ut f Medtech Evlutin General Practice Versin All scheduled utilities, backup r maintenance tasks, and third party interfaces that require access t the databases have been stpped. 4 Ensure all Brief casing laptps have been discnnected frm the netwrk. Upgrade Guide Preparing t upgrade the Database Server Database Upgrade 1. Lg n t the Database Server. 2. Lcate and duble click n the EvlutinDB_Upgrade1.9.0.312.exe t launch the installatin wizard. 3. Please read and ensure the fllwing Upgrade prerequisites checklist befre starting the installatin. 4. Click the Next buttn t cntinue. 5. The License Agreement screen will appear. 6. Read thrugh the terms and click I accept in rder t prceed with the upgrade. 7. Select the apprpriate Medtech Evlutin Applicatin Envirnment type and click next t cntinue t upgrade. 8. Click the Brwse buttn t select the Database Server frm the list r manually type the Database Server Name. 9. Type in the SQL lgin credentials fr the crrespnding SQL server. 10. Click the Brwse buttn and select the database name. 11. Click the Next buttn. Imprtant Nte Once the infrmatin is prvided, database server lgin inputs are retained in the cache. Subsequent upgrades d nt require these inputs Imprtant Nte A warning message will be displayed when the time limit t take backup f database exceeds a particular time limit. Imprtant Nte The installatin will be terminated if there are any users r Services actively cnnected t the Database. 12. Please select the checkbx belw t verify the lg files and click Finish. Imprtant Nte If the upgrade encunters any database script errr while perfrming upgrade, the belw screen will appear. Please cntact Medtech Supprt immediately. Email us at supprt@medtechglbal.cm 13. Lgin t Medtech Evlutin applicatin t initiate the applicatin upgrade prcess Upn successful lgn, the belw infrmatin will be displayed 3. Click the OK buttn t upgrade the Medtech Evlutin applicatin. 4. Applicatin Services upgrade Medtech Services 1. Lg n t the applicatin services server. 2. Lcate and duble click n the Medtech Services Update 1.9.0.312 t launch the installatin wizard 3. The Welcme t Install Shield Wizard fr Medtech Services windw is displayed. 4. Click the Upgrade buttn t prceed further. 5. Click the Finish buttn t cmplete the installatin. Check that the upgrade has been run n all laptps and clients that are used fr Briefcasing and has cmpleted withut errrs. 4 Lgin t Medtech Evlutin and ensure the database cnnectin is successful. 5 Check the current Medtech Evlutin installed versin [Help Abut Medtech Evlutin]. After the upgrade has been run, this shuld read 1.9.0.312 Make sure fllwing utilities/services are started (services.msc): Medtech Message Transfer Service Medtech NIR Message Transfer Service 6 Medtech Shell Service Medtech Fax Service Medtech Scheduling Service Medtech Diagnstic Service 7 Ensure that all staff can successfully lg int Medtech Evlutin withut any issues.
