CRITICAL CONTROLS - PRODUCT OVERVIEW FUME HOOD CONTROLLER (FHC) The FHC is designed to control face velocity on variable volume fume hoods with audible and visual indicating alarms. The Fume Hood Controller can ensure a safe working environment by constantly monitoring and adjusting the ehaust to maintain a correct face velocity. The controller supports multiple air control devices including Venturi valves, LDV ehaust valves and Variable frequency drives. The controller comes standard with the both sidewall and sash position sensor inputs and both can be used together. The FHC is valve mounted and includes an analog input for monitoring the static pressure across the valve, alarming if minimum static pressures are met and can be used during test and balance to set up the system. The FHC integrates with the Price Laboratory space controller when airflow control calls for maintaining a volumetric offset between supply, general ehaust and fume hood ehaust flows. The FHC comes standard as a BTL certified native BACnet device for simple integration with building management systems. Using the latest in microcontroller and sensor technologies the FHM can measure airflow using a crossflow sensor in the duct and, using a sash position sensor, display the face velocity on the local LCD display. The monitor features visual and audible alarms signaling unsafe conditions with illuminating sidebars provide 180 degree visual status. The commissioning software allows quick and thorough setup of the FHM system with the ability to generate a printable test report. PRODUCT OVERVIEW LABORATORY SPACE CONTROLLER (LSC) The LSC is designed for laboratory applications that require airflow and temperature control using a dedicated system that ties into the fume hoods within the space. The digital controller maintains a constant volumetric offset between the supply, general ehaust and fume hood air valves in the VAV system to ensure accurate control of directional airflow. Fume hood controllers are daisy chain wired to the controller and the local network uses Price M-Net for a less than 1 second speed of response between the controllers. The LSC can tie in a room pressure sensor to monitor the pressure in the space with a local visual and audible alarm option available. Room temperature and humidity are measured using a Price thermostat mounted in the occupied space. Simple connection to thermostat is provided with plug and play RJ45 cables. Outputs for the LSC for reheat and humidity include binary (24VAC), staged, and analog (0-10VDC). With Native BACnet MS/TP communication, the LSC can tie into building management systems (BMS). When connected to the network both the space and attached fume hood variables are available for monitoring and control. Commissioning software allows quick and thorough setup of the LSC system with the ability to generate a printable test report.
