1.0. Intrductin The ACR123U is the USB versin f the cst-effective, flexible and intelligent cntactless reader ACR123S. It can be integrated t existing (Pint-f-Sale) terminals r cash registers t ffer the cnvenience f a cashless payment system. Develped based n the 13.56 MHz cntactless (RFID) technlgy, it supprts any cntactless card fllwing the ISO 14443-4 standard. Similar with its serial predecessr, the ACR123U is equipped with a large graphical LCD that allws merchants t display messages, as well as a large tapping area with backlight, which guides custmers in carrying ut their payment transactins. ACR123U has a built-in ISO 7816 cmpliant SAM (Secure Access Mdule) slt which can be used tgether with a SAM card. The ACR123U is cmpliant and certified with majr payment and safety standards such as MasterCard, Visa, American Express, EMVC Level 1 and EMVC Level 2 making it cmpatible cmpatible with EMV-based cntactless payment applicatins such as MasterCard PayPass, Visa paywave, and American Express ExpressPay. The ACR123U is als Apple Pay ready. Using either the serial r USB versin f the ACR123, mvement in checkut cunters is faster as custmers cmplete their payment by simply tapping their cards.
