In line with this, ACS intrduces the APG8205, a thin and slim handheld device with a mdern design, designed fr banking and e-payment slutins. The APG8205 design als takes int cnsideratin the custmer s preference n the lk and feel f the device, with a respnsive keypad and a clear LCD. What is APG8205? APG8205 is a prtable handheld and lw cst smart card device which perates n standalne mde t perfrm varius authenticatin applicatins. It is capable f managing One-Time Passwrds, Challenge Respnse Authenticatin Cdes, and Transactin Data Signing (PKI digital signatures) based n the security keys stred in the EMV cards. Hw des APG8205 wrk? The APG8205 uses a tw-level authenticatin prcess which requires the cardhlder t insert the CAP r DPA card int the device and enter a PIN using the built-in PIN-pad. APG8205 then generates a dynamic ne-time passwrd n the display screen which can be used t lg in befre perfrming several transactins like nline transactins, banking lgns and telephne rders. Why is APG8205 secure? APG8205 is cmpliant with majr banking, cmputing and safety standards such as Mastercard Chip Authenticatin Prgram (CAP), VISA Dynamic Passcde Authenticatin (DPA) and EMV Level 1 Certificatin. It is specially designed t safeguard users frm the emerging fraud attacks like Card-nt- Present (CNP) fraud and emerging Man-in-the-Middle attacks. It als prvides prf that a card is present during an OTP prcess. Furthermre, the APG8205 has n physical cnnectin t a separate device like a PC. Thus, the uncnnected mde f APG8205 makes it impssible fr hackers t steal the sensitive infrmatin stred in the card. Hw can APG8205 help yu save mney?
