Professional Review Interview Assessment of competence and commitment Two trained reviewers both professionally qualified Highways & Transportation Engineers Takes approx 75 minutes (including 15 min presentation) Locations London/Edinburgh/York
Professional Review Interview (ii) Notification of results within six weeks -Successful registered with the Engineering Council (for CEng/IEng) -Unsuccessful advised on areas for improvement Appeals procedure

Individual Route Options
Initial Assessment Confirms Standard or Individual Route If Individual Route, options given.
Option 1: Further Formal Study The most robust evidence of knowledge acquisition May be accredited or non-accredited qualifications but must be relevant and at the right level (check with CIHT)
Option 2: Further Learning Report For those who have partially achieved the educational base or non-uk higher level qualifications All evidence must have been submitted, assessed and verified Recommend matching against QAA benchmark statements (http://www.qaa.ac.uk/academicinfrastructure/benchmark/default.asp)
Option 3: Technical Report Work-related project report that showcases your knowledge of engineering principles Must show sufficient breadth of knowledge Choose a project in which you have had a significant role

Technical Report Assessment Process Stage 2 Submission of Technical Report (within 2 years of synopsis being accepted) No set submission dates technical reports can be submitted at any time Up to 8000 words
Technical Report Assessment Process Stage 3 Interview by two CIHT assessors Interview normally held within 6 weeks of submission of report If knowledge demonstrated to the benchmark standard, candidate can proceed to professional review
