Overview of the Secure MyApps Environment MyApps provides a secure, web-based environment to connect to UH applications using devices that are not UHowned assets. Per UH policy IS-15, UH Network and Systems Access, MyApps is the only permitted method for accessing UH applications from non-uh devices. MyApps will allow you to connect to: Commonly-used UH applications, including UHCare and PACS The UH Intranet Oracle UH Web mail Your S: drive and P: drive on the UH network Microsoft Office. Obtaining Access to the Secure MyApps Environment New UH Employees: Access to MyApps is granted automatically to all new UH employees. Existing UH Employees: Contact the UH IT&S Service Desk (216-844-3327) to request access to MyApps. Note An esecurity Access Request form is not required to receive access to MyApps. 2 Job Aid IT&S Training and Development, MSC

Process for Affiliated Physicians Affiliated physicians need to have a UH sponsor to receive access to the secure MyApps Environment. The UH sponsor should be at a Manager-level (Tier 3) or above. An esecurity Access Request form is required to obtain access to MyApps for affiliated physicians. 1. Request access to the MyApps application from your UH sponsor. 2. Your UH sponsor will navigate to: UH Intranet > online tools > esecurity Access Request Form. The UH esecurity Access Request window displays. 3. Your UH sponsor will click the UPDATE button and fill out and submit the form that displays. 4. After the form is submitted, the appropriate IT&S personnel will send you an e-mail message including a verification of your MyApps access. Once you receive access, you can complete the remainder of these instructions in this Job Aid. Connecting to the Internet while at a UH Facility Connecting to the UH Guest Network While working at UH facility with your non-uh device, you can connect to the Internet through UH s wireless Guest Network. The Guest Network will provide access to the: Internet UH Intranet Applications you can access through the UH_Guest network (UH Web mail, Oracle) Note For additional information about wirelessly connecting to the Internet from your non- UH device, refer to the support material provided by your manufacturer for the exact model and product you purchased. Microsoft Windows (XP, Vista, 7) 1. Navigate to your device s Wireless Network Connection options. Windows 7: Click on the computer monitor icon in the system tray. Windows Vista: Select Connect To from the Start Menu, or right-click on the computer monitor icon in the system tray and select Connect to a network. Windows XP: Click on the Wireless networks detected popup in the bottom right-hand corner of your screen, or right-click on the computer monitor icon in the system tray and select View Available Wireless Networks. 2. Select the UH Guest Network and click the Connect button. 3. Open your Internet browser to verify the connection. MAC: MacBook or Mac Desktop 1. Click the AirPort icon to open the AirPort menu. 2. Select the UH_Guest Network from the list of Network Names. 3. Open your Internet browser to verify the connection. 4. In the Web Address bar, type http://intranet.uhhospitals.org/ to connect to the UH Intranet. 4 Job Aid IT&S Training and Development, MSC

MAC: ipad 1. Click the Settings icon to access the Wi-Fi setting. The Settings window displays. 2. Click the Wi-Fi icon. 3. Below Choose a Network... select UH_Guest. 4. Open your Internet browser to verify the connection. IT&S Training and Development, MSC Job Aid 5

Connecting to MyApps from Non-UH Devices This section describes the process to connect to MyApps from Microsoft, Macintosh, and Droid non-uh devices. Microsoft Windows (XP, Vista, 7) Remotely Accessing UH Applications using MyApps 1. Navigate to the MyApps website: http://myapps.uhhospitals.org. The MyApps Welcome/Log on screen displays.. 2. In the User name field, type your UH Network ID. 3. In the Password field, type your UH Network Password. Tip The UH Network ID and Password is what you use to check your UH e-mail. 4. Click the Log On button. A security notification screen displays. 5. Click the I Agree button to continue. 6 Job Aid IT&S Training and Development, MSC

If you do not have the Citrix Online Plug-in (Citrix Online Receiver) installed, a Download Client screen displays. 6. Click the Download button to download the Citrix Online Plug-in (Citrix Online Receiver). This plug-in enables connection to the MyApps environment. Tip A link to install the Citrix Online Plug-in (Citrix Online Receiver) for Windows is available from the MyApps Information subpage of the University Hospitals website. Click the following link or type the following URL in your Internet browser http://www.uhhospitals.org/myapps to navigate to the MyApps Information page. Note The installation of the Citrix Online Plug-in will start. Wait until this plug-in is completely installed. The MyApps Applications page displays, showing the applications to which you have access. Tip The Applications page takes time to completely load after it displays. Wait 20 seconds before you double-click an application icon. IT&S Training and Development, MSC Job Aid 7

7. Double-click an application icon. The application opens. If you have any issues opening applications from the MyApps secure environment, see Troubleshooting Tips for Microsoft Windows Devices on page 34 of this job aid. Note When a new version of the software is available, you will be prompted to upgrade the software. To upgrade the software, click the Citrix license agreement checkbox and click the Download button. To continue to the MyApps Applications page without starting the upgrade, click the Upgrade Later link in the Other Options section. 8 Job Aid IT&S Training and Development, MSC

MAC: MacBook or Mac Desktop Depending on the type and version of your Mac device, the screens you see on your device when completing this procedure may appear differently than the ones shown in this job aid. 1. Navigate to the http://myapps.uhhospitals.org website. The MyApps Welcome/Log on screen displays. 2. In the User name field, type your UH Network ID. 3. In the Password field, type your UH Network Password. Tip The UH Network ID and Password is what you use to check your UH e-mail. 4. Click the Log On button. A security notification screen displays. 5. Select the I Agree with the terms and conditions of use. If you do not have the Citrix Online Plug-In for Mac installed, a Download Client screen displays. 6. Click the Download button to download the Citrix Online Plug-in for Mac. The MyApps Applications page displays, showing the applications to which you have access. Tip The Applications page takes time to completely load after it displays. MAC: ipad (v. 4.2.1 (8C148)) Depending on the type and version of your ipad, the screens you see on your device when completing this procedure may appear differently than the ones shown in this job aid. To connect to the MyApps secure environment, you will need to install an App on your ipad. This job aid assumes you are familiar with the process to open the Apps Store from your ipad. MAC ipad - Installing the Citrix Receiver App You will need to install the Citrix Receiver App for ipad to connect to the secure MyApps environment on your ipad. 1. Tap the App Store icon to open the Apps Store. 2. Type Citrix in the Search Field. Citrix applications display including the Citrix Receiver for ipad application. 3. Tap on the Free button to select the Citrix Receiver for ipad application. The Install App button displays. 4. Tap Install App. 5. Enter your App Store credentials and click OK if prompted. The Citrix icon displays Installing... After the installation is complete, the Citrix icon displays. MAC ipad - Set Up Citrix Receiver to Open MyApps Environment 1. Tap the Citrix icon. The Welcome to Citrix Receiver window opens. 12 Job Aid IT&S Training and Development, MSC

2. In the lower left hand corner of the screen, tap on Set up my enterprise app store. The New Store window displays. 3. Tap in the Address field and type: myapps.uhhospitals.org. 4. Tap Next. IT&S Training and Development, MSC Job Aid 13

The Store Verified window displays with additional fields. 5. Complete the fields as follows: Description: Automatically populates with UHhospitals Virtual Apps Domain: UHHS Username: [type UH network username] Password: [type UH network password] 6. MAC ipad - Access UH Applications 1. Tap on Explore to view a list of UH applications. The application list displays. 2. Tap on the plus icon in the Application list to add it to your Home window. 3. Double-tap on the application icon in the Home window to open the application. Note To return to the Home window, tap the drop-down icon at the top of any open window and select Home. 16 Job Aid IT&S Training and Development, MSC

MAC: iphone (4G running ios 5.0.1) Depending on the type and version of your iphone, the screens you see on your device when completing this procedure may appear differently than the ones shown in this job aid. To connect to the MyApps secure environment, you will need to install an app on your iphone. This job aid assumes you are familiar with the process to open the Apps Store from your iphone. MAC iphone - Install the Citrix Receiver App To install the Citrix Receiver on your iphone, complete the following steps. 1. Tap the App Store icon to open the Apps Store. 2. 3. From the search results, select Citrix Receiver. 4. Tap Install. The Apple ID Password dialog box displays. 5. In the password field, type your Apple ID password. 6. Tap the OK button. 18 Job Aid IT&S Training and Development, MSC

Your iphone displays a grayed out Citrix icon with Waiting displayed below it while it downloads the application. After Citrix is fully installed, the icon fully appears with Citrix displayed below it. 7. Tap the Citrix icon. IT&S Training and Development, MSC Job Aid 19

The Citrix Receiver window displays. 8. Tap the Add Account button. The New Account window displays. 9. In the Address field, enter myapps.uhhospitals.org. 10. Tap the Next button. 20 Job Aid IT&S Training and Development, MSC

The Verified window displays. 11. In the Username field, enter your UH Network ID. 12. In the Password field, enter your UH Network Password. 13. In the Domain field, enter UHHS. 14. Tap the Save button. The Loading window displays. IT&S Training and Development, MSC Job Aid 21

The Uhhospitals Virtual desktop window displays, showing your MyApps applications. Logging off of Citrix To log off of Citrix, tap the Log Off button. The Log On window displays. 22 Job Aid IT&S Training and Development, MSC

Accessing Your MyApps Applications - Logging in to Citrix 1. From your applications, tap the Citrix icon. 2. Select Uhhospitals Virtual Apps. The Enter Credentials window displays. 3. In the Password field, type your UH Network password. 4. Tap the Go or OK button. IT&S Training and Development, MSC Job Aid 23

The Log On window displays Uhhospitals Virtual Apps with a rotating gear indicating that it is working to connect to the MyApps secure environment. After connecting, the Uhhospitals Virtual desktop window displays your MyApps applications. 5. Tap an application to open. 24 Job Aid IT&S Training and Development, MSC

Android Devices Depending on the type and version of your Android device, the screens you see on your device when completing this procedure may appear differently than the ones shown in this job aid. Andriod Market is the official apps store for Android devices. To connect to the MyApps secure environment from an Android device, you will need to work with the Android Market and install an App on your Android device. This job aid assumes you are familiar with the process to view your All Apps screen from your Android device. Android - Installing a Citrix Receiver App You will need to install the Citrix Receiver app to connect to the secure MyApps environment on your Android device. 1. Select the Android Market icon from your All Apps screen. 2. From the Android Market, tap the Search icon (the small magnifying glass at the top-right of the screen) and enter Citrix in the search field. 3. From the list of search results, select Citrix Receiver. 4. Download and install the Citrix Receiver application. A Citrix app displays on your All Apps screen. Android - Setting Up Your MyApps Citrix Account 1. From your All Apps screen, tap or click the Citrix app. The Citrix Receiver Accounts screen displays. 2. Tap or click the Add Account button. The Add Account screen displays. 26 Job Aid IT&S Training and Development, MSC

3. In the Server field, enter myapps.uhhospitals.org. 4. Tap or click the Next button. You will receive a validating account message. After the device completes the validation process, account details fields display on the Add Account screen. 5. In the User Name field, enter your UH Network ID. Example: (JNurseX1). Note You do not need to enter your password in the Password field. UH will not allow your password to be saved in this field. Leave the Description field as the default entry. 6. In the Domain field, enter uhhs. 7. Tap or click the Add button. The Citrix Receiver Accounts screen displays. The myapps.uhhospitals.org website address is available from this screen. 8. Tap or click myapps.uhhospitals.org. An Enter Password menu displays. 9. In the Enter Password field, enter your UH Network Password. Note If you have forgotten your UH Network Password, call the IT&S Service Desk (216-844-3327) for assistance. 10. Tap or click the Connect button. 28 Job Aid IT&S Training and Development, MSC

A list of your available MyApps applications displays. 11. Tap or click an application name to open the application. The device will prompt you to enter your password again. The Starting Internet Explorer, Citrix pop-up menu displays during the connection process. Note If at any point you get an Invalid Server Certificate message (shown in the screenshot below), tap or click the Accept button to continue. IT&S Training and Development, MSC Job Aid 29

Android - Opening MyApps Applications after Installation 1. From your All Apps screen, tap or click the Citrix app. The Citrix Receiver Accounts screen displays. The myapps.uhhospitals.org website address is available from this screen. 2. Tap or click myapps.uhhospitals.org. A list of your available MyApps applications displays. 3. Tap or click an application name to open the application. An Enter Password menu displays. 4. In the Enter Password field, enter your UH Network Password. Note If you have forgotten your UH Network Password, call the IT&S Service Desk (216-844-3327) for assistance. The Starting Internet Explorer, Citrix pop-up menu displays during the connection process. Android - Troubleshooting If you are having issues connecting, confirm that your connection settings are setup properly. 1. From the Citrix Receiver Accounts screen, select the myapps.uhhospitals.org connection entry. 2. Press and hold the myapps.uhhospitals.org connection entry. The MyApps accounts screen displays. 3. Click Edit account. 4. Confirm your account settings are set as: Server: https://myapps.uhhospitals.org User Name: Enter your UH Network ID in this field. Password: Skip this field. Domain: uhhs Description: MyApps Use the Citrix Access Gateway: This should be selected. Gateway Type: Enterprise Edition Authentication Type: Domain Only 30 Job Aid IT&S Training and Development, MSC

Using MyApps Double-click on the application icons on the MyApps Application page to launch an application. The application will open in a new Web-based window. Tip You can open multiple applications through MyApps at one time. If you want to access: Double-click: This will: Files on the UH drive from your P: drive, S: drive, or other drives to which you have access. Open a connection to your UH drives. You can open files and save files to the available drives. Files on the hard drive (C: drive) of your UH computer are not available through MyApps. Your UH Web e-mail The UH Intranet Access your UH e-mail through Web mail. Note: You can also access your UH e-mail without using MyApps. Type mail.uhhosptials.org as the URL (Website address) in your Internet browser and log in with your UH Network ID and UH Network Password. Open the UH Intranet home page. UH Applications including: UHCare PACS Kronos Time and Attendance Physician Portal Soarian The associated application s icon. Examples: UHCare and the UHCare Practice Environment Launch the application you selected. The application will function as it does from your UH-supported computer or device. Note: You will only be able to launch applications to which you have access. If you do not see the UH application s icon on the main MyApps Application page, type the name of the program in the Search field. Click the Search button to start a search. If you want to access: Double-click: This will: Microsoft applications Launch full versions of Microsoft Office: Excel, PowerPoint, or Word. This provides the ability to create, edit, and read Microsoft documents. Note: You can save files to your UH drives (P: or S: drive), but not to the hard drive of your selfpurchased device. Tip Click the Content tab and select MyApps Help Page to access MyApps support information. 32 Job Aid IT&S Training and Development, MSC

IT&S Support Available for Non-UH Devices The IT&S department will provide a limited amount of support for the use of UH applications and the MyApps secure environment from non-uh devices. Click the following link http://www.uhhospitals.org/myapps to navigate to the MyApps Information page of the University Hospitals website. The following IT&S support material is available from this page: Links to the Citrix Online Receiver installation files (Citrix Online Plug-in) for Windows and Macintosh Job aid for user support Connection to the secure MyApps environment: https://myapps.uhhospitals.org Contact the UH IT&S Service Desk (216-844-3327) for assistance with issues with the MyApps login process, including: Account unlocks and password resets. Verification that the MyApps secure environment is available or whether there is an outage. Confirmation you have access to the MyApps secure environment. Verification you have access to view all of the applications you need to use. Information about whether there are outages with the applications available through MyApps. Example: If you click on the Soarian application and it does not open, the UH Service Desk will confirm whether there is an outage with Soarian. The UH IT&S Service Desk is not able to provide support for the following issues on non-uh devices: Issues with your Internet or WiFi connectivity. The installation or removal of applications. Troubleshooting software. The use of your device s specific features or functions. Note The UH IT&S Service Desk will not attempt to remotely connect to non-uh Devices. Note You are responsible for the maintenance of your non-uh device. Any performance issues that may result from the process to connect to the UH Network through MyApps are not the responsibility of University Hospitals. IT&S Training and Development, MSC Job Aid 33

If you are able to see your application icons, but you are not able to launch any applications from the MyApps secure environment, try the following solutions. Troubleshooting Tip A: Wait until the Applications page has loaded in its entirety before opening an application. Troubleshooting Tip B: Deploy the Native Client. Troubleshooting Tip C: Make MyApps a Trusted Site. If MyApps is not a trusted site, you may have received a message regarding the Iaunch.ica file. Troubleshooting Tip D: Install the Citrix plug-in. Note If you have additional toolbars installed in your Internet browser, this may cause issues opening MyApps applications. Troubleshooting Tip B Deploying the Native Client 1. From the on the bottom right hand side of the screen, click Problem Connecting. The Client Selection screen displays. This screen will show that your Client is either Available or Not Currently Available. 2. 3. If your Client is Not Currently Available, click the Deploy link next to Native Client. Note Clicking the Deploy link will prompt you to download and install the Citrix Online Plug-in. 4. Click Run to download the file. An Internet Explorer Security Warning displays. 5. From the Internet Explorer Security Warning, click the Run or Allow button. 6. Click the OK button. This functionality of MyApps protects patient data; it keeps all UH files on the UH network. If your self-purchased device is lost or stolen, patient data is not compromised.
