INTRODUCTION 1. SINGLE SIGN ON (SSO) Given the constant barrage of cyber security incidents in the headlines, cyber security is now a top priority for ICE. While having a strong password offers protection for your account, that password may be stolen by malicious software, compromised networks, or simply being fooled over the phone or email. SSO adds an extra layer of security to your ICE applications by requiring users to provide a combination of two identity methods at login: Username / Password 2FA (Two factor authentication) passcode delivered to trusted device Getting started The user must complete a basic registration process including an email confirmation and the selection of your 2FA passcode delivery. The registration process will offer the user a preferred delivery of the 2FA passcode to an email address or an SMS notification. SMS notifications are used by different business areas within ICE but are NOT acceptable for ICE Clear Europe. If you choose the SMS notification you will be asked to change to Email Notification the following day. You will be prompted to enter a 2FA passcode: The first time you log in after completing the registration process Every 30 days after that Any time you log in from a new IP address After making any changes to your registration information NOTE: This does not impact your user name and password;; those will remain the same. 2
2. TO REGISTER FOR SSO ON THE GLOBAL ID WEBPAGE 5.1. WHERE TO BEGIN Navigate to: https://sso.theice.com/requestglobalid?companyid=clearing#pagerequestglobalid The user must complete the following fields and click the Send confirmation email : - Email Address (This must be a work email address) - First Name - Last Name - Password - Confirm Password - And the check Captcha verification box 3
2.1.2 Once the user has clicked on the Send confirmation email button, this will generate an email to the user s registered email address with a confirmation code. 4
2.1.3 Open the email and copy the confirmation code into the Confirmation code box 5
2.1.4 Once the user has clicked Confirm another page will be shown to the user called Two Factor Authentication Registration. This will give the user the option to choose either Email Notification or SMS Notification. Click on Email Notification. NOTE the System will allow SMS notification. This is used by different areas of the business, but is not allowable for Ice Clear Europe. If you click on SMS notification you will be asked to change to Email Notification the following day. 2.1.5 Click on DONE. 6
2.1.6 This will complete the 2FA Registration and then bring up the below page. Click the BACK TO APPLICATION button. 7
2.1.7 This will navigate the user back to the below screen. Enter the User ID (registered email address) and password. NOTE, the user must ensure that the APP is populated with Global ID Press the LOGIN button. 8
2.1.8 The user will now receive the following email with a passcode. 2.1.9 As advised within the above email, the first time you log into SSO you will be required to add your 2FA Passcode which will have been emailed to you. NOTE, this does not give access to any applications. 9
