EndNote Downloading References to EndNote from Electronic Resources (Windows) The databases listed below can be accessed through the GOS ICH Library Website at /databases Database name CINAHL (EBSCOhost) Instructions for direct export or saving references to import Click on the folder to the right of each reference you wish to keep. Click on, at the top of the screen, to view the references you have kept. Select all items in your folder by checking the Select / deselect all box. Click on Export. From the next page, select Direct Export in RIS Format (e.g. CITAVI, EasyBib, EndNote, ProCite, Reference Manager, Zotero) and click on Save. Choose to Open the file Click export to EndNote and click on OK. Cochrane Library Mark the references you wish to save and click on Export Selected (at the top of the results list). Leave Export type as PC. Select Citation And Abstract from the File type drop-down menu. Click on Export Citation. o Select Save File and click on OK. (If you are using Firefox, the file will automatically save to Downloads.) Open your EndNote Library. Click on the File menu at the top left of the screen. Move to Import and click on File. In the new Window: o Import File: click on Choose to find and select the saved Cochrane Library file (called citation-export.txt). o Import Option: click on Other Filters and choose Cochrane Library (Wiley). o Click on Import.

Explore (UCL library catalogue) Click on the star symbol next to any references that you want to send to Endnote. Click on e-shelf. Tick the boxes next to the references to re-select them. Select Push to RIS (EndNote or RefMan) from the drop-down menu above the list of references. Click on Go. Click on OK in the pop-up box headed Import to Citation Manager. Click View downloads Choose to Open the file (Primo_RIS_Export.ris). If a pop-up window appears, select EndNote and click on OK. Google Scholar Access Google Scholar from scholar.google.co.uk Carry out a search for the subject of your choice. To import a single reference Click on the double quotes symbol beneath the reference. Click on the EndNote link at the bottom of the pop-up window Your EndNote Library should open automatically, or you can select your To import multiple references Sign in to Google Click in the star symbols beneath the references that you wish to send to EndNote Click on My Library Tick the checkbox above the list of references to select them all Then, click on the down arrow and select EndNote Your EndNote Library should open automatically, or you can select your

Click on Export citation to RIS. SCOPUS Tick the boxes next to the articles you want to export. From the menu near the top of the screen, click on Export. Select RIS format as the export format. Choose which fields to output, and click on Export. SFX In the SFX@UCL window (in any database): At the bottom of the SFX window, click on Go next to Download Citation to Reference Manager / EndNote.

Web of Science Tick the boxes next to the articles you want to export. Click on the arrow to the right of Save to EndNote online (above the list of search results). Select Save to EndNote desktop. Use the drop-down menu to select the record content, then click on Send.
