Instructions for Installing The BC Alert Emergency Notification System Mobile App thru Everbridge, Inc. Brazosport College has an Emergency Alert Notification system that is used to notify Students, Faculty, Staff and Community members of an emergency or situation that is occurring on Campus. The system is tested each semester. Messages are delivered via, text messages, phone calls to your cell and landline home phone, and e-mail. There is an additional way messages can be delivered directly to your mobile device by using the Mobile App provided by Everbridge, Inc. The name of the App is Contact You will be able to confirm receipt of notifications via the Contact App. The App is a free App available from the itunes App store for Apple devices and Google Play for Android devices. Windows phones are not supported. An e-mail invitation will be sent inviting you to register your device. The e-mail will come from the Brazosport College Helpdesk with a noreply@everbridge.net email address. If you have not received an invitation, please contact the helpdesk at helpdesk@brazosport.edu. Follow these Steps for Setting up the Mobile App on your Apple Device. See Page 9 for Android instructions: 1. Download the Mobile App by searching for Everbridge. Install the ContactBridge, Everbridge, Inc. App on your device. Once you have it installed go to the next step. 2

3. After clicking on the link from the email you are then asked if you want to launch the mobile application. Click on OK. 4
4. Once you launch the application you will then see a prompt to open in Contact? Contact is the name of the App. Click on Open 5
5. Once you have the Contact App open you should allow push notifications. This allows your device to be informed of the notifications. 6
6. When a notification is received in the App you will be asked to allow Contact to access your location even when you are not using the app? You should choose Allow. 7
7. This is how the messages will look in the App when you receive a notification. You will open the message and confirm that you have received the message. 8

2. Some of you may receive a requesting asking for you to accept access to some of the features on your phone. If you get this you will need to accept. If you don t receive this then move on to the next step. 11
