Installing SoundLAB Software You can download the SoundLAB software from the Bogen website at: www.bogen.com/software. Install the driver file and double-click the Setup.exe program icon to enter the program installation contact interface. Click NEXT to continue. Click BROWSE to change the installation folder. Click NEXT to continue. 1
Installing SoundLAB Software (contd) When this interface appears on screen, click NEXT to enter next step. Select Create A Desktop Icon if you want a desktop icon. Then click NEXT to enter the next step. 2
Installing SoundLAB Software (contd) Click INSTALL to begin the installation. When the interface displays, make sure to select Setupbde (database access engine). If it is the first time installing the software on the PC, click FINISH to install the database access engine. If this is not the first installation of the software on the PC, DO NOT select Setupbde. To begin using SoundLab, select Run SoundLab. Click FINISH to complete the installation. 3
Installing SoundLAB Software (contd) If this is the first time installing the software on the PC, you must install the database. When you see the screen shown below, click INSTALL to start the installation process. When you see the screen shown in the Figure below, click FINISH to complete the installation process. 4

Software Tool Bar Tool Bar Functions PC Connection 1. Insert one end of the USB cable into the USB jack on the side of the SPLM. 2. Plug the other end of the USB cable into the USB interface port on the PC. NOTE: Once the connection is made, a USB icon appears on the LCD of the SPLM indicating a successful connection. If the icon does not appear, the connection is not complete. When connected to the PC, the PC supplies power to the SPLM (so the AA batteries are not necessary and will not be used when the unit is connected to the PC). When the connection to the PC is ended, the SPLM will turn off automatically unless batteries are in the SPLM. 6
System Setup Click OPTION > SYSTEM SETUP or click to enter the SYSTEM OPTION. The default setup is SPL Unit Setting. Enter the company name if needed, then click OK or APPLY to confirm the setting. SPL Unit Setting Click SPL Unit Setting to setup the following items: measurement range, max. work mode, sample speed, and weight. Then click OK or Apply to confirm. 7
PC Software Setting Click OPTION > SYSTEM SETUP Click PC Software Setting to setup the Low/High db Alarm and the Alarm sound ON/OFF. Then click OK or Apply to confirm. Real-Time Measurement Click Real-Time Measure in File Menu Bar in the Tool column to enter the screen as shown below. 8
