Jim Bochat Jim, president of Commissioning Concepts, has been involved in the Arizona Engineering and Construction industry for over 40 years. His experience includes mechanical design, mechanical construction, controls, test & balance, commissioning and retro-commissioning. A former NEBB President, is a Life Member of ASHRAE and serves on various committees. A frequent lecturer, Jim has presented commissioning topics for numerous organizations and events, including Greenbuild, ASHRAE, AHR Expo, PECI, IFMA, Southwest Plant Engineers, Western Area Power Users, and AMCA of Australia. Steve Wiggins Steve an associate partner at Newcomb & Boyd, is a past President of NEBB and former chairman of NEBB s BSC committee. With more than 30 years experience in Building Systems Commissioning, he has worked in the built environment since 1975. Owner of a mechanical and electrical company, he previously worked for the Air Force at base level and headquarters AFCESA as the commissioning and retro-commissioning expert, and holds master mechanical and electrical contractor licenses. Scott Gordon With over 40 years in the energy services and design build mechanical contracting industry, Scott has a broad range of experience covering mechanical system design, business development, business management, sales of complex mechanical systems, energy analysis, risk review, project management, commissioning, retro-commissioning and training. REQUIREMENTS AND REMINDERS Seminar Requirements To achieve the best learning results, Attendees are required to read the following BEFORE attending the training seminar. Instruction is based on the assumption that all Attendees have a thorough working knowledge of the requirements of these NEBB publications prior to attending the seminar. Attendees must have a working knowledge of the NEBB Procedural Standards for Retro Commissioning of Existing Buildings. (Free to download at www. nebb.org.) Attendees must be familiar with NEBB Energy Calculation Handbook (for purchase on nebb.org) Required: Bring both publications to the seminar. Attendees are required to bring a lapto with Windows operating system, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. Required: Working knowledge of the software prior to attending the seminar. Important Reminders 1. Registration deadline is Monday, September 12, 2016. 2. Enrollment is limited. Registrations will be filled on a first come-first served basis. 3. RCX CP CERTIFICATION & EXAM PROCESS: A STEPPED APPROACH Professionals who desire to achieve the RCx CP certification and who want to sit for the two exams at the conclusion of the RCx CP training seminar on Thursday, September 29, 2016 are required to be in compliance with and complete all certification requirements and processes BEFORE attending the training seminar. The certification process must be started well in advance. 1. RCx CP certification requirements are available in the NEBB Comprehensive Certification Handbook available on the NEBB website at www.nebb.org, or email certification@nebb.org. 2. To obtain RCx CP certification and exam information, please email certification@nebb.org. 3. Deadline for receipt of RCx CP Application for Candidacy: Friday, September 2, 2016 a. Last minute applications and walk-ins to the exam will not be accepted. 4. Pre-requisites must be met and the RCx CP Application for Candidacy must be submitted for approval and the certification application fees paid. a. Once approved, the Candidate will receive payment information for the RCx CP paper-based Written Exam. 5. Application for Candidacy fees and exam fees are separate from the training seminar fees. a. All exam-related fees are final but can be transferrable. 6. Because a Candidate s exam results are entered into Kryterion, NEBB s online exam processing center, Candidates are required to set up a profile on Kryterion in advance of sitting for the RCx CP exams. a. Instructions on the process will be sent. 7. Those who wish to sit for the RCx CP exams, must have all facets of the certification process completed prior to attending the RCx seminar. 8.
