Cotrol UPS O/Off Do Self Test UPS verifies proper system operatio by briefly powerig the attached load from battery. Simulate Power Fail causes UPS sigalig port to immediately idicate that the AC lie has failed. This may iitiate a orderly server shutdow sequece if the appropriate cable ad software drivers are used. Graceful Reboot iitiates a orderly server shutdow ad restart sequece if the appropriate cable ad software drivers are used. The sequece is: 1. The UPS sigalig port idicates that the AC lie has failed ad that the UPS battery is low. (Server will quickly begi shutdow if so cofigured.) 2. After the Low Battery Duratio time plus the Shutdow Delay time (user settable parameters i Setup:Shutdow) the UPS will tur off for the Retur Delay time (user settable parameter i Setup:Shutdow) the come back o uless: (1) the iput AC lie voltage is out of tolerace or (2) the battery capacity is below the Retur Battery Capacity (user settable parameter i Setup:Shutdow). Graceful Tur Off same as Graceful Reboot above except that the attached load remais off util tured o by the user via the Cotrol:Tur Load ON commad. Start/Stop Rutime Calibratio causes UPS to ru o battery util the battery(s) is(are) discharged to approximately 25% of capacity. Data recorded durig this time improves the accuracy of the Rutime estimate which the UPS reports i the Status scree. Recommeded testig iterval: oce per moth. UPS ito/out of Bypass (Matrix ad Symmetra oly) Whe bypassed, power to the attached load is beig supplied through the UPS s filterig ad surge suppressio circuits directly. The UPS will ot power the loadfrom the battery i the evet of a power failure. This is geerally used durig maiteace o modular UPSs. 7

Ÿ Low Xfer (Lower trasfer voltage) the output voltage at which the UPS switches trasformer taps or oto battery. Ÿ High Xfer (High trasfer voltage) the output voltage at which the UPS switches trasformer taps or oto battery. (If you otice that the iput voltage is geerally close to oe ed of the lower/upper voltage widow, it may be ecessary, depedig o the load s voltage requiremets, to receter the widow by chagig the lower ad/or upper trasfer voltages) Ÿ Sesitivity sudde, small chages i iput voltage will cause the UPS to briefly ru o battery. (If you otice, or the evet log idicates, that the UPS trasfers to battery frequetly, it may be ecessary, depedig o the load s voltage requiremets, to lower the sesitivity oe step at a time. If the UPS still trasfers frequetly, check the lower/upper trasfer voltage widow described above). Ÿ Output (oly o 220/230/240V UPSs) allows selectio of omial output voltage. 9

Shutdow these parameters affect sigalig via the UPS s iterface port.
