The system captures real time photo images and transmits them to a control room to be evaluated and analyzed. The system is suitable for critical assets, installations and key point surveillance. Impact: No such system was research and develops locally before. The price of the system upon completion can be very competitive, local and sustainable support, develop its own vendor network in the country, inclusive economic benefits, create jobs and it is an innovative system. Proposed Research and Development Project Cadangan projek penyelidikan dan pembangunan Should include the following but not limited to : Problem statement Scope of research to be undertaken by collaborative partners Expected research date to start off Expected research date to be completed Full explanation on research project values e.g. project cost contributed by industry and the expected amount of MOHE investment Output Problem Statement: In the security sense, surveillance is the monitoring of activities that usually involve unauthorized people for the purpose of protection assets in an area. Surveillance is very useful to governments and law enforcement to maintain safety and security by recognizing and monitoring threats to prevent/investigate criminal activities. Several critical areas like offshore oil rigs, long running oil/gas pipes, ports, stores, long shore lines and others need surveillance that provide timely and accurate images that can be analyzed. In Malaysia, this undertaking is still lacking and it is limited to the application of CCTV that has limited sight range and image processing. The application of Electro Optical Surveillance (EOS) camera system can undertake what a CCTV cannot do especially when detecting/monitoring large surveillance areas like those mentioned above. Scope of Research: The proposal is to undertake research in design / develop a local EOS mounted on the Unmanned Air Vehicle for local and regional market, for the purpose of maritime, border and critical infrastructure surveillance applications. Details of the research scope are given below. Expected Research Date to Start Off: The research can start as soon as the proposal is accepted by the evaluation authorities. Expected Research Date to be Completed: 24 Months Expected Project Values: RM 4 M to cover the following research: Research on video processing, Lens and optics design/develop, Servomotors integration, Research and design the Pan/Tilt/Zoom control, System control, Prototype tests, Quality check and quality assurance,
